...that's true. What if they deal with it by deleting glamour entirely but letting you upgrade the stats on old gear via a long and arduous grind per item? We should brainstorm the worst ways they could fix it to make the eventual functionality seem less terrible in comparison!

Oh god, the nightmares... The terrible decisions they could make might include...

1. You must be level 70 to unlock the glamour log
2. You must grind Tomestones of Poetics to purchase an item that you use to save an item's appearance to the glamour log
3. You must grind Tomestones of Poetics to purchase an item that you use to "extract" an item's from the glamour log (likely this will put it physically in your inventory, where you will then glamour as we do now, and then you'll have to repeat #2 to put it back!)
4. Alternatively they might decide that the needed item would be a crafter thing (lol bought with scrips???)
5. Adding something to the glamour log destroys the item (means you'd have to clutter up your inventory until you're done leveling jobs)
6. Glamour log has a limit of <insert very low number here... 25? 50?> appearances that can be saved
7. I DON'T WANT TO THINK ABOUT THIS ANY MORE IT'S MAKING MY BRAIN HURT FROM THE TERRIBLENESS

If I have learned anything about SE in the last several years, it's that they will implement something in a way that is not how you expected and far more convoluted than necessary. Here's to hoping I'm wrong about the glamour situation

Honestly this is exactly how I expect it to work. You take "snapshots" of singular pieces or full outfits that you save to apply over gear later.

That seems like the simplest method as the issue with the level 1, glamour only gear getting a "wardrobe" storage system is that there are many dungeon and tome sets that get used for glamour just as much as the gear made solely for it.


I wouldn't put it past them to make the upgrade to the glamour system a level 70 quest, either. Everything else, while possible, pushes the same dick move level as what they've done with the new Tiger mount, so I really don't know.

What it SHOULD be is...

1. A log of all possible items' appearances in the game. Ideally with info as to where they drop (crafted, name of dungeon/raid boss, token vendor, etc)
2. Appearance in the log is unlocked as soon as spiritbinding begins
3. No arbitrary limits on how many appearances you can unlock
4. Costuming is as simple as opening the log UI (which should be attached to our character's paper doll a la the Character or Preview windows), selecting the armor/weapon slot, selecting appearance, and clicking apply

This. But I'd add the ability to set favorites to show at the beginning of the list for each slot.
