I don't think you understand the point of balance. It's an attempt to make everyone a solid pick with different setups without feeling/being a possible detriment. Not to play some silly OP hand off game. Advocate for balance, Silly- not blatant imbalance.

They actually don't. Most of the population aren't raiders, and by your logic that leaves the remaining playerbase of RDM players who don't raid (It's an immensely popular class) to be playing it for the class and not the DPS.
Mayhaps putting them in proportion to other classes won't be as lethal to the class as your doomsaying?
Naturally there will be players who are tier whores- but they don't care about classes, they care about numbers and are therefore by their very nature impartial to the class they play as long as it's high performing. They don't care about RDM- they care about RDM's numbers.

Nah, I know balance. The problem is when SE started removing abilities from the previous Jobs, they poorly implemented changes to make up the difference. SAM and RDM were built with these changes already in mind. If anything, the Old Jobs need buffs. I main DRK but you don't see me coming to the forums crying for PLD nerfs. Buff my Job and I'll be happy (Which I got, thanks to the LL).

Nowhere in your response did you make a point to address why you advocate for RDM to be passed the OP torch?Nah, I know balance. Instead of being condescending and dodging the question, why not answer it?
RDM has a massive playerbase, not all of which are raiders by any means so I ask you- How are (By your words) "Mainly the raiding community" the say all and be all of what attracts people to RDM when just purely by statistics of this games raiding population don't align with your claims.
Again I ask for a straight forward answer, not your roundabout lip.
Even under the assumption that you're correct- RDM currently holds its ground as the most popular class in the game so my next question for you is if you actually believe that the class will die like your doomsaying predicts or MAYBE just maybe it has a smidgen of hope to have a player following even if it's a balanced class in accordance to the others.
