SCHs don't get to coordinate their shields. ASTs don't get to coordinate their cards. WHMs don't get to prep for tankbusters with mitigation. It's really easy to understand.Sidestepping the Royal Road debate (controller player, so clicking off never applied for me anyway) -- seeing the other AST's cards is a big deal. I have macros set up to declare what card I'm using, within reason, if DF puts me with another AST. But I definitely found it less obtuse to target the other healer and see what they have ready, rather than watching chat.
Overwriting can and will happen anyway, but now there's no easy way to plan around another AST.
Regens stack, and two ASTs in Noct don't get to mix shields, either. (And hey; it happens sometimes when you're both trying to switch!) Cards are unique to ASTs, and I don't think it's really comparable to the other two jobs.
I know why it was removed -- for the gauge -- but I do wish we could get some kind of indicator.
1.) That's a stupid mistake and not standard play. 2.) Regens don't save weakened party members from huge raid damage.Regens stack, and two ASTs in Noct don't get to mix shields, either. The only reason Shields and Regens aren't unique to SCH and WHM respectively, is because we took them.
