I'd love to agree with that statement but once you've played XIV, XI play is outdated and slow. I would love for XI to be rebuilt in a more modern MMO, I still keep an eye out for the mobile version that was supposed to be brought out over here .

I tried to play it a few months ago during the welcome back campaign, the clunkyness was very apparent. But the world is still pretty damn amazing

I still play both, after playing FFXIV yes it looks clunky, yet is the same...curse advance technology with their pretty colors and new speeds :P. Nowq if they make FFXI reborn under FFXIV I would play it more lol. I miss the true grinds in a weird freakish kind of way.

It's old indeed, I play both and have been playing XI for 14 years, I'm still having way more fun on XI than here. If they ever do a remake of XI, which is deserved, I would leave XIV in a heartbeat.
