Omega is really mostly GlaDOS revisited. Its behaviour is a reference to another game franchise, or they just copied a lot, down to its psychotic argument of why it does what it does.

I think you misunderstand, i am not upset at final fantasy characters reoccuring, not at all. I welcome Alexanders and Shivas (And knights of the round) if they are done properly. I recognize they are a part of the series, but i wish for them to have a place in FFXIVs story, instead of just whisking it away with "Oh its a fairy-tale its oki"
Im just sad at the missed potential in a way.
Omega, at least got a bit of very important involvement in the lore, making it the reason Allag rose to technological dominance essentially causing all of our problems since.
Exdeath sounds like something straight out of the War of Magi, i would have loved to see it be introduced as both a tool to explore that era and be a neat callback. The supposed fairy tale he sports in now? Will we ever get it told? I very much doubt it.
Halicanarssus may be something as there is a Succubus voidsent in Haukke Hard mode sharing name. Are they related? Did that voidsent inspire that fairy tale? Will we learn of this connection? Doubt it.
I just want all the classic final fantasy bosses to help expand FFXIV instead of introducing them for their legacy alone.
Alpha still annoys me. Too outlandish imo, a more realistic critter would have sufficed.
