Tanks don't need to do high DPS while actively tanking - if you want to be doing high DPS all the time then play a DPS. Ever hear the phrase "can't have your cake and eat it too?" It applies here...

Why would I want to play a DPS when this game is so unfair towards them?

In order for a DPS to do their job they need to take advantage of their entire kit, that's like 20 abilities! Why would I play something like that when in order to do my job as a tank I can just use three attacks over and over?
And don't even get me started on healer! You're telling me I just need to press one button every 5 seconds?! Sweet! I need to go level WHM right now.

You're right I haven't, but I don't need to play a healer class to see that a healer has a lot of downtime to DPS, maybe not 5 seconds like I said but they're definitely not always casting.
And that was just another way to exemplify my point, which is that you should take advantage of every part of your job's kit.
