    They are not currently overmeldable. I was saying all accessories should be overmeldable. All of them (implying change). Our normal gear for tanks gives us both str and vit. Our accessories don't but could be made to with the option of overmelding. Now that Materia is very easy to get with a little effort (how it should have been from the start), overmelding could actually be a thing if SE wanted to.

    Yeah, as it is, it seems like Crit or DH are better melds. It seems like they're leery about making gear affect your ability to tank? But I don't really understand. Making it reduce 10% of damage would be like having Storm's Path debuff again.

    I just don't see how having damage scaling from Vit creates hp inflation if we are already being forced to wear Vit. It's not like we can somehow get extra vit somewhere else. You can't meld vit on to anything but accessories that don't already have it, and we can't wear those accessories after level 60 anyway. Honestly it feels like the problem was that in HW tanks had to forego tank stances and push as much dps as possible for raid tier content and SE didn't like it.

    In his quote? Nowhere. In other threads that they're getting feedback? It has a very strong presence. I'm not saying hit is good or bad, but this "feedback" gets translated into what the quote said. Mind you I'm still very new to tanking and have 0 experience to 3.0 in depth tanking.     Their feedback concentrates a lot on doing damage, which I guess they need to hold enmity. Maybe this is why I get confused though. Most of the fixes I would read about in other threads made it sound a lot like "Take it back to how it was and let me set fire to the world."     The argument I'm sure is very old, beating a dead horse. I would suggest that it may be reacted to this way only because of the tone that the arguments are suggested in. Or more-so the tone. I'm not saying you're wrong, just making an observation on why things are like that.

    I really do not know. I went through so far 70 with warrior, did Omega (was so fun!) and I never knew how to tank swap. I haven't had time to do Susano yet but the first night I did it I got the guy to 40% or so. I don't have any hate issues, but if you ask others they suddenly "don't have issues" or they get offended.

    I agree there's some tweaking that needs to be done with tanks, I just don't think that STR boosting is the answer. Yet when you confront a veteran tank with the issue it is what they go to, and has a very strong tunnel vision mentality of what the fix would be.

    Well tenacity may scale better once we get better gear. Our gear is still bad because we just get lvl 70 two weeks ago. What I understand 200 tenacity is 1% and pretty much max what you can stack offstat is around 2k so around 10% flat mitigation would be possible get, probably not right now, but after two weeks once we have more modification our gear. In the end of expansion it is probably something between 15 - 20%.

    I think it's sort of like if they want AP at a certain value (to scale with DPS), then HP will be higher than they want. My guess is they want tankbusters to take a certain percentage of a tank's HP.

    Not to bash on any tank, and absolutely not saying I\\\\'m better than any other tank because honestly, I\\\\'m far from it but I do want to say that... I don\\\\'t understand yet, and truely i am trying to understand , believe me, why tanks are having such a hard time about not being able to hold hate on this game. In all honesty, it\\\\'s very easy on this game. I\\\\'ve always had vit gear and never relied on str gear to help me keep hate. I love loading my tank with vit gear. I\\\\'ve always been able to hold hate on large pulls, small pulls, whatever the situation. Sure the VIT change in 3.xxx series was nice but it was never needed in my opinion. And yes, this is my opinion and just stating how i see it. I feel like maybe tanks are just wanting to do extra damage for their own enjoyment and not so much because they can\\\\'t hold hate? I don\\\\'t know, just pondering here. Again, not bashing any tank. Just trying to understand why tanks are having such a problem with this.

    The easiest solution is, since they don't want vit scaling anymore for whatever reason, is add strength as a secondary to tank right side gear. That or make tenacity stronger on the damage front.

    Hmm is it? I thought people were saying nearly 600 was 1%...was it bugged and they fixed it?
