As a new player, running through the Praetorium dungeon was the worst

If you ever want to run a dungeon and watch the cutscenes, see if you're ever online at the same time as me. More than happy to be patient and wait for someone to finish cutscenes. Using the Party Finder and stating your intentions to watch cutscenes can be a good way to do it too. It's always a lot more fun to watch them while you are in the moment than back in the inn.

New players have every right to watch those cutscenes imo. They paid for the game just like everyone else. I've seen a vote kicked a couple of times on new player and so far it has always failed. Then the offending member usually freaks and they themselves get kicked for harassing the newbie. Most people in this game are not jerks. The really bad jerks do color your opinions sometimes though. That doesn't mean the people won't complete the dungeon the dungeon though.

LOL... just use healer as your main job. You will be allowed much more CS time in dungeons, because, well, they cant do the boss without you ... in most cases anyway.

Mi first time was the same, i was so mad that i just give up and enjoy the cutscenes and chill, now as a main tank i dont have problems to wait for the newnplayers but

You won't be main tank in Praetorium/CM if you are waiting on those CSs.

ARF final boss transition.

I'm talking about cutscenes peppered all throughout the dungeon, not just one cutscene before a final boss.

here is a fairly long CS between final boss part 1 and 2 in ARF. Each boss has a cs. yet no one complains in those. lol

Those aren't even remotely close to what they had in Praetorium. There's a very clear difference between that 2 minute cutscene or a 30 second boss intro and 30+ minutes of cutscenes throughout the dungeon.

OP, You are absolutely right. And I say that as someone who runs these as roulettes everyday (ie part of the problem). However, the alternative is that there would be no other players to get past this part in the MSQ.

Possible solution around the corner?
They are looking at adding npc support characters down the road (grand company recruits). Hopefully they will make these instances the same and remove the roulette entirely.

I don't want to be that guy, but I will:

I am part of the problem and don't care. If you want to watch cutscenes that take LONGER than the dungeon in a random DF run, I (and the whole rest of the raid) are going to run ahead, finish the dungeon and leave you chain watching cutscenes.

What I tell CS watchers to do when I see them is:

A) Start a PF and look for lore fans or other first timers

B) Skip the cutscenes, join up with us and smash this THEN go back and watch it in the unending journey

It's literally impossible to do the ARR final dungeons and watch the cutscenes alongside the content. By the time you finish one cutscene the next one is up. Those 2 are broken and they gave them their own category in the duty finder order to separate them from other content. You literally have to watch them on youtube to get the story properly.

There is the item in the inns that you can use, which I forget the name of, that is just ALL The cutscenes related to the story(maybe others, not sure never really checked) that you can use to watch them too.
