LOL I always hated those scorpions because of their randomness of chosing their attack-targets!My idea of a monster family which could be used, would be "Scorpion" which could have skills like "Flying Press" which would be a slow targeted jump ability, "Deadly Thrust" a high damaging single target ability and "Hiss" which would spawn extra Scorpions temporary.
But a tameable version could be fun.![]()
Would be really nice, yet I really dislike the thought of having a pre-set class-pet like some games have ._. It just kills the whole thought of a Beastmaster class for me.
dual axes![]()
and for companions
crab for tanking of course, bear
for melee dps Coeurl , tiger , rabbit (yeah they are lovely and deadly ><) , mandragora
for caster , damselfly , manticore , drake , diremite ,pugil ect
utility , dhalmel (healing breeze) ,and more
every family with their own attacks , but for example crabs will be blunt dmg , felines slashing , scorpions piercing
u can change pet in battle every 1 min and outside w/o CD
BST attacks chains that let pet do more dmg to that target , chain attacks with pet , pet does big claw , u do axe break and both get +10% dmg ...
bst gains a gauge to unleash final pet attacks ....
something like that would be cool
I'd like to see them make a beastmaster as a DoL. They could spend their time tracking and hunting monsters for capture to turn them into minions, companions, mounts, and housing items. It'd have to be a huge time sink for stuff like a mount, but I think that'd be cool if they didn't want to do a DoW job.
the way i imagine a beast-master's abilities is something like having one medium-sized NPC as your primary tool. actions would direct this animal to do ordinary attacks and combos, while there would also be special actions that would only temporarily summon beasts to do special skills and actions.
for example, temporarily summoning something as large as a bear would attack an enemy for heavy damage and summoning something as small as a marmot would do light damage but with strong effects. there could also be special summons like a dragon that would do a vertical aoe fire-strike from the air. etc etc.
as for the "primary animal" itself. i dont see the NPC size being larger than say an ordinary wolf even if the class were a tank.
other than that, its pretty much confirmed that beast-masters exist within the universe if you have met Krile in heavensward; a scion that has a unique echo that allows the souls of animals to speak with her.
I personal perfer a whip
That's the other part of it. A visual front for that link to Time Mage.
Gravity--an iconic spell of Time Mage--belongs to Astro here. Time Dilation for Astro is the equivalent to Time Mage's Extend spell. There's also this link in the 50-60 storyline for Astro:
The primary antagonist in the 50-60 storyline is claimed to be an Astro so strong that he could stop time. This is illustrated in the fight against him through his use of the level 60 spell Celestial Opposition--a spell which stuns and extends buffs, otherwise displaying the closest case of how a Stop spell would work in terms of game mechanics.
THAT would be a way different side to look at this from, which sounds awesome too! I would definitely get that!I'd like to see them make a beastmaster as a DoL. They could spend their time tracking and hunting monsters for capture to turn them into minions, companions, mounts, and housing items. It'd have to be a huge time sink for stuff like a mount, but I think that'd be cool if they didn't want to do a DoW job.
I wonder if that is another of their "hinting" which they always do for upcoming classes. xD
