I'm curious as to how this would be helpful in raids?

Quick reaction to find the tank for tank swaps without going through the list, quick click on the character.
Also in instances of finding a white mage when groups are split, faster to see them than to read their name above and look back down. For a lot of times with streaming, you disable the full names so you have to manually go through the list.
Is it a make-or-break deal? No of course not, but I think it's more important to focus on easy identification and just lore-based playing. A lot of people get angry about the glamour for no reason and this seems to be a way to make everyone happy.

I hope the devs are listening. We need the devs to please listen.
Well, if ease of identification is a concern, one of the first things you'd have to do is to disable Lalafells and display Hyurs or something taller in their stead. It's very easy to lose sight of Lalafell due to their size and what armor they wear is less apparent than on a taller race. The same could be said about Au Ra below the 50% line in the height slider to some degree.
My whole static is like this. Our tallest members are our bard (miqo'te woman somewhere around 50%) and our WAR (100% auri woman). Sakura here is 0%.Well, if ease of identification is a concern, one of the first things you'd have to do is to disable Lalafells and display Hyurs or something taller in their stead. Something... something... edginess... shadows... wait... I'm supposed to be a paragon of love and justice!
