I'm gonna try that, thank you. Yours was the most reliable answer to this mess, to be honest. >_> My friends were recommending buying a USP(or whatever that is named orz) but that can be kinda pricey for me.Personally, as was said before, I did the PS4 backup test and it worked! I made a backup on my HDD and forced a shutdown on my PS4 and it started downloading 22gb again. I restored the backup and the game was back up and running again. I know that is not the solution you want, but it can help many here.
I already post here for redownloading 22.7 gb.
I just crash after trying to teleport at Reach after the Foxy Lady Fate. (I know, bad idea xd)
Before starting FF14 i restarted the console, then close it. I started the PS4 in safe mode.(you wait that the console completly shutdown, then hold the power button until it bip two time) then i rebuild the data base.
When i started FF14, it bring me to the registration screen and i didnt have to download it again.
Not sure if it did anything but i will post it anyway. Good luck![]()
We are on the same boat. I left to college this morning and left it downloading. When I came back I was hoping would be at least halfway done... no. An error message saying that the patch could not be downloaded. Basically it just downloaded 1gb out of the 22.7 in like 8 hours. I hav given up on this game and the subscription. The sad thing is that they have already charged me the monthly fee. So, it's my loss. Thanks, SE.
I feel your pain in 8 hours I downloaded 5gb, after that my speed has gotten a lot slower where it seems it will take a few days to download for some reason. I stopped trying to download the game already.
I'm having the same issues, especially in the evening when my server is overrun but around midnight i can normally access.
maybe it's the same with your server?
5th time now...se needs to fix this soon.![]()
Well for me ive restarted many times and not had to redownload. Its the power cutting while the system is reading from the memory.I already post here for redownloading 22.7 gb.

when you said that you restarted many times, you mean the game or the console, because at this moment I will take anything to avoid to download that thing again
Im having this problem as well, tho mine only happen if my PS4 freezes, or has a sudden failure of some sort, I can log out and in and even restart my system normally, and its not a problem, I hope its fixed soon

Just want to point out that earlier today the Japanese thread about this issue (it is under bug reports 不具合報告) was moved from bug accepted (受理済み) to bug confirmed/ fix scheduled (不具合確認・修正予定).
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...82%8B%E3%80%82
I checked the thread regularly, so I know they just moved it. I believe they are really working on it now. I also submitted bug report ticket in Japanese yesterday.

My power surged for literally a second... and I have to redownload the damn thing... it's rediculous... I was literally walking in lavenders bed... power surged... now I have 12 hours of download to do.... fix this!!!
