22.7gb update after relogging?

I'm having the same issues, especially in the evening when my server is overrun but around midnight i can normally access.
maybe it's the same with your server?

Yeah. What I'm doing now is sleeping a bit when i'm back from work - from 8pm to 1 am - then I'm usually able to login and play for a couple of hours, before going back to bed to finish my night

It won't be sustainable over the long run but at least helps to catch up (a bit) on leveling. All my friends are 70 since they can play during daytime (they log in early in the morning) and I can't play with them now. It's frustrating.

Of course the above works only if the 22.7gb issue doesn't pop... in that case it becomes hard to articulate both issues

Just want to point out that earlier today the Japanese thread about this issue (it is under bug reports 不具合報告) was moved from bug accepted (受理済み) to bug confirmed/ fix scheduled (不具合確認・修正予定).

I checked the thread regularly, so I know they just moved it. I believe they are really working on it now. I also submitted bug report ticket in Japanese yesterday.

I suppose this is good news. Maybe some hope for it to be in the patch tonight

Hard to tell, I'm trying to download it just in case. I hope not though, it's a really big patch. Took me all day to download and it's still not done :/

I already post here for redownloading 22.7 gb.

I just crash after trying to teleport at Reach after the Foxy Lady Fate. (I know, bad idea xd)

Before starting FF14 i restarted the console, then close it. I started the PS4 in safe mode.(you wait that the console completly shutdown, then hold the power button until it bip two time) then i rebuild the data base.

When i started FF14, it bring me to the registration screen and i didnt have to download it again.

Not sure if it did anything but i will post it anyway. Good luck

Well honestly the next time it happens I will try this. Thanks for sharing, much appreciated. I already have to deal with the "unable to obtain character data" issue as a problem #1 to get in the game these days (unless I wake up at 2am for a video game) so being able to avoid problem #2 (this 22.7gb thing) is really important for me. One problem at a time is better.
