Ifrits greatest weapon: Animation Lag

I suffer the same problems as many others in this thread, but I have come up with a work round: I tanked Ifrit . This way I am expected to take damage and the heals are directed at me. I managed my first two kills yesterday and on the second run I got my first weapon. After that another player took the tanking duties and the old problem raised its head and I spent more time face down on the ground than hitting Ifrit.

I've pretty much given up on doing the Challenging content until they mend the latency issues. My latency constantly goes red, More frequently when in fights. Not only that, even if it isn't red, moving out of danger zones doesn't always help. I am in one place but the server believes I'm in another. It cant possibly have to wait until the data is moved over to the new servers...

It does if the servers are bad (which they are.) however they can also fix some latency issues, but a lot of people need to do what Yoshida asked them to do -- Post in the technical thread with all the appropriate info so they can check ISP settings since not everyone is having the same issues.

Yea already done. And imo fixing the servers should have been done before adding content almost everyone is going to have issues with due to latency problems. I know it's easier said than done, but if they keep adding all this content that only one side of the world can do very easily....

I'm not sure there would be anyone left playing if they didn't add any content until V2.

I wish that worked for me. I tank ifrit all the time, but because I stay in the red for up to 30 seconds at a time I end up losing agro. The funny thing is, I can still chat to linkshell and the server never disconnects me..... It just effects avatar actions
