Early Access members deserve 2 feee days due to server issues

The entire point of early access was to get as many established players to buy Stormblood early with the incentive of giving us a jumpstart into the new content.

That is literally the very thing we can not do with the throttling of instances, and it has negatively impacted every player. This was their solution to prevent the servers from melting instead of shutting down optional content or by adding a hotfixed queue to solo instances. Both of which would allow players to comfortably enjoy the content available instead of trying to play the Rauhban and Pipin lottery to try to be the lucky ones that beat it.

Despite some datacenters starting to clear, this still negatively impacted EVERYONE playing. Giving us all a free weekend seems a perfectly reasonable apology and compensation. It's about customer trust at this point.

If early access is about server stress tests and bug findings, then they should add that to their advertisement for the pre-order incentives instead.

I get its early access for stormblood and users have a spectrum of emotions about it and I don't want to get involved in how people feel about the debate of early access etc.

A different angle for me... that people with guess accounts (sure they get it for free) and with the base (ARR) game are impacted. I don't think the new players and the much needed new life blood of the game are having a great experience I have seen more than a handful of players who are put off. It really is a let down for them and I wish they could've been protected or prioritised (i suspect I will be flamed for that).

Such a great game for new people trying are being put off and it is a shame as the game is ace and having some reputation damage

They need to introduce a 5 minute grace period to get back on if you disconnect. Login in for the first time and waiting 3 hours (currently) is fine as you can plan it but when you are in the middle of something and get kicked out due to disconnecting, PC or Console crashing, a 3 hour+ wait is depressing.

Other than that, amazing expansion!!

I'm not particularly upset about the early access woes, I guess I've come to expect it with launches. But if I was really upset I don't think 43 cents (2 days) would make me happy about it.

you think this is going to get any better? Even if the majority of the people got EA the game hasn't launched yet. That means it will get worse.

I'd rather get some kind of nod in game. Maybe a tongue in cheek memorial that we can place in our houses or something like that. Because meh, two days of game time is two days of game time and not really the best way to remember what will be the most infamous moment this game has for a long long time.

Because you know we're going to be telling newcomers about this horror for years to come.

I mean I am annoyed with the stupid long queues, but even I don't care if they refund it. Especially because they most likely have it stated in ToS that you don't pay for full time access and that they reserve the right to deny you that service even if it is just a queue.

The game was still playable. I was still able to queue for other instances. I was still able to gather and craft. I was still able to run around, do hunts, do leves, do side quests, do FATEs, collect aether points. It's not like the game stopped working entirely. You just couldn't do that one thing to progress with the story, temporarily. And we still have two days of early access. Enjoy the game already.
