Regarding the Duty World Issues on the NA DC

I don't honestly know what you'd like to be compensated for - the game hasn't even been officially released yet. We didn't pay extra for the early release; we got it as a bonus. Be glad you're allowed to play early at all, even if there are more than a few hiccups while we do.

You're missing the fact that not only Stormblood was messed up ARR and HW instances were screwed too, which have been released.

The only thing now that they need to prioritize in terms of fixing is the DX errors that have been hitting everyone. Yeah, queues to get in suck, but the client crashing because of the DX errors are making those queues worse right now. Once those lessen, the queues should go down... hopefully.

Regardless, thanks devs for trying to make things smoother definitely appreciated on my end.

Early Access to the game ahead of the official launch

This was suppose to be one of the perks for pre-ordering, it is even on the Pre-order. This is not what we got. We were suppose to get full access to 4.0 content, not a demo or part of the game. We were suppose to get early access to the game. Not only was stormblood content having problem but just getting in duties were having problems, not to mention the 90ks and even potential having the game lose your data loading into Susano's fight. This wasn't a player problem for playing the game this was SE's problem for not providing enough support soon enough. It is one thing for things to be down for a few hours, but for 2 days is too much.

So yes, we deserve a couple free days. So if you don't want compensation that is your choice. They might as well take away your pre-order items because you didn't pay extra for them. But because you pre-order you should get both the time that was lost during EA and your item on launch day because that was what was featured for pre-ordering the game.

Early access was just part of the pre-order, that is all.

For me Sb CE was $79 Canadian, sure i have not got much playtime (long log in queues, booted from trying MSQ and blm Quest multiple times) but i am not about to whine about it.
MSQ was fixed now, at least i was ale to do it, i dare not try my blm quests though. I am confident this will coming it will be better.

Thank you for getting it fixed. Please learn all you (the FFXIV team) can from this and apply that knowledge to future expansions and content. I really love this game and now that my frustration has passed I'm looking forward to experiencing everything Stormblood has to offer.

Nothing is ever 100% in software launches. There are bugs, kinks in the system and I'm sure many have complained to the point of wanting Yoshida's head on a pike, but bear in mind...for any software launch, the developers don't get enough praise for what works, and they get hell if it doesn't. You can't help but feel a little bad for him...
I've seen videos of how much heart Naoki has for this game...even in the launch of 2.0, we had issues much like this...he cried on stage because he felt horrible for what happened and he felt thankful for those who stuck with him and made 2.0 what it was.

Guys I know folks are angry and disappointed but never in the history of Early Access has it gone smoothly. There's been an apology and a lot of sleepless nights. I think that this was some god awful design on their part and I bet they realize it now.

If it happens again next expansion then we can get out the torches and pitchforks. For now I vote we wait see how they respond. Maybe we get compensation, maybe we get a nifty item, and maybe we get to play bug and DC free. Who knows. But keep it civil, getting hyperbolic will not help.

Its just Ama complaining about things she doesn't understand as usual. There were only 3 versions of the game, none required more for early access. Standard at 39.99, digital collectors at 59.99 and physical collectors at 199.99, in USD of course. She probably bought the digital CE and didn't realize or something.

SE is not at liberty to compensate but if they do then its on them. People fail to realize that any huge MMO will has its kinks in it and early access is no different. ARR, HW and SB all had its issues and sure we can bitch and moan until our face turns blue and that would be just wasting your energy over something you have no control over. Let the devs deal with the issues at hand and we will all be able to enjoy this wonderful expansion.
