Regarding the Duty World Issues on the NA DC

While I wish that there was a bit more planning put into opening up the early access and realizing just what was going to happen, I am happy we finally had another response (if belated) to these issues. The fix to the solo instances was noticeable as the time noted by Yoshi P was the time I actually logged back in and got in on the first click after not being able to for hours in the early morning when the servers were not as congested. The other issues, were well expected for the early access such as lag, queue times to get in, and some duty finder issues. The solo instance issue was the one that was extremely stressful and interest killing for the game. 20k people now an hour should be sufficient now that enough people have hopefully cleared the first instance or two and can/have now been proceeding to continue the story, hit Kugane and start the first new leveling dungeon.

Can I see your receipt please? Showing that you paid more to play early access then if you would of just bought it on the 20th. Not including physical CE, the game standard $39.99 and digital CE $59.99 the same if you pre-ordered of if you buy it next week after launch.

You are neglecting the time value of money. Money in hand now is more valuable than that same amount in hand later. This was one of the most basic principles in my engineering economy class, and I presume it applies to businesses in general. It gives them money to invest in now so as to have even more money later on. That said, a month or two probably won't make a difference. To large businesses, this stuff is calculated on the basis of continuous interest if I remember right. So from their perspective, they make more money if we preorder than if we buy on launch, not to mention them having the ability to server resource demand. From our perspective, since most people sit on their money in general and do little more than stick it in a savings or checking account, it is the same amount, though.

The fact is if you order tickets for a con, then when you show up it's so crowded you can't get in to the attractions you want to see at the popular times, or you can't enjoy yourself, there's naught to be done about it. Yes, we paid for something(that, if you check the eula is absolutely NOT guarenteed) and it's frustrating to not be able to use it when we're free to(which my gf has not been able to, just for the record, so i havn't been playing either), but it's like this for every launch of every game and expansion ever and it'd be foolish to get more servers when theirs are perfect 99.5% of the time. Just bear with them and it'll be over before long.

SE needs to give us some compensation in the form of play time for the 2+ days that were unplayable due to bugs. I haven't even touched any of the expansion content yet spent most of last night getting DC'd when trying to zone in to feast. Entirely wasted sub time, plus obvious frustration.
