It's nuts, at first things were okay people were putting out decent reasons why they don't see working. Then this T-virus sh($ storm spanned out to the masses to the point where you have people raising hell but they don't know why, just because enough people told them to.
I believe they should continue to give feedback but keep it positive and they need to accept there's a bit of a "try it out first" area. Their complaints are valid, but much like most things they need to play out.
We know their intentions on how they want jobs to play, we've heard the players saying no. Now lets just relax..pet a Lala and see how it all works out.
Now, I'll do my final good act in the game before SB, taking my revenge on all those wild chocobos that always agro me during leves...but on your goggles Tailfeather..it's gunna be bloody.

Let me start off by saying I don't openly critique this game on forums. That being said, I really dislike it when Yoshida or anyone within the official development says something along the lines of "relax, don't get overly excited about [insert issue]". The answer to why is simple: Square Enix's lack of communication. Whether it's their online support, to development questions, to their official forums, they seem very disconnected with their community. Yes, Yoshida answers a lot of hot topics during live letters, but imo, wouldn't it be much better to post here (every now and then) to simply state they're aware of said concerns? Instead, we have a block of time where we don't know anything, so we speculate. I just wish the back and forth between community to development was more concise, that's all.
"Everything will be fine!" was said in regards to:
2.0 Warrior
2.0 Dragoon
2.4 Ninja (They never expected us to use Huton pre-pull)
3.0 Astro
3.0 Bard
3.0 Machinist
3.x Paladin
Now I do want to clarify, White Mage is by no means as bad as Warrior, Dragoon or Astro were. That being said, this isn't the dev's first rodeo on balance design. They have something a spotty record. Furthermore, people don't need to play a job to notice immediate flaws. The primary complaint about White Mage has little to do with it not being "meta," but rather the Lily mechanic being neither engaging nor rewarding. Cooldown reduction simply isn't a valued attribute in this game because we pre-plan everything in content that matters. I only blow off Assize on cooldown when I already know I won't need it for actual healing. During prog, I would hold onto it for high aoe damage. It doesn't matter if I get it back 12s faster if I've already planned the spot I'll want it for. That is the fundamental issue. It isn't just "White Mage is dead" noise.
What they want is irrelevant. All that matters is functionality. If the Lily mechanic isn't improved, people aren't just going to default to Cure spam when Regen remains a better heal. It's the same with mass pulling and healer DPS. They want us to focus less on speeding through dungeons. We don't.Have people stopped to consider they want WHNM to play differently than current? Clearly people want the job to play the same as at present, but perhaps Cure - Cure 2 - Cure 3 will be the direction they want WHM to be played..... The job traits are based around this type of play after all.
If this is the case I hope Cure 3 gets a larger radius.
Some people just Overreacted in an absurd manner about WHM changes. Specially when the game is not even out even...
Means WHM will be A fail until 4.1
just like when SE made tank's dmg depends on VIT instead of STR.. people were flipping out for no reason.
