    AOEs were nerfed because YoshiP doesn't want people pulling huge pack of mobs in dungeons.

    As long as people stick to pulling ~4 enemies at a time, bane will still do good damage. In leveling dungeons, people really shouldn't be doing massive pulls unless you're not level synced.

    Unfortunately large pulls are just a thing. even with single target damage dps alot of people want the big pulls and dps adjusts. (I'm not saying big pulls are good or bad mind you, it varies by party) nerfing the aoe damage wont change that. EVER. unless you buff the damage on the mobs themselves so healers can't heal through big pulls....but given the buffs to ast alone....its like they're truly fighting the inevitable....and in the end, dps will simply adjust...

    That would make a lot more sense if the nerf only affected packs of 4 enemies. Their AoE hit nerfs of...

    -2 DoTs vs 3 DoTs spread for a 30% loss,
    -Shadowflare going from 100% uptime to 25 or 50%
    -Loss of Blizzard II cross class - assuming we can use Tri-Bind still, this is a 40% nerf

    So, we see a nerf of 30%, 50-75% and 40% on packs of 4.

    The tradeoff is we can Painflare twice as much in the same amount of time (5 second cooldown as opposed to 10 seconds) and 2 Akh Morns. Also, Deathflare appears to not suffer from the AOE falloff.

    You can still only painflare up to 3x per minute. As for Akh Morn, that's once per 2 minutes if I am not mistaken.

    Mr.Happy said you could get 2 via one round - so something like enkindle cds lasts 13 secs but the trance 20 in total (-the animation part which still seems enough time to hit twice). Im curious if this chaining system is fluent... never the less something completely new to try and master <3

    When did he say this? If that's the case i don't really mind, I don't really like speed running.
