No one is actually seeing the middleground here that merely states "put some effort and do some dps when time allows you to do so".
And I'm fed up with that. And it clearly shows in my posts, not gonna deny that.

You are right about no one seeing the middle ground which was the point of my post the community in general as you stated only sees it as black and white a healer doesn't dps they a bad player and if they are dpsing but not putting 200% effort in then they also a bad player.

To be fair, I've read most of the 100's of pages of Healer DPS threads and I don't recall (Though I may have missed some) anybody saying they want Healers to be going to the extreme to put out astonishing numbers all the time. All I ever see is "Effort", because people believe that healing in low damage output conditions isn't difficult and shouldn't require that much effort- but that often gets blown way out of proportion and Non-DPS Healers take it as a 2k DPS at all times or bust situation.

On the other extreme, I do actually see a lot of "My sub my game" and "I play a healer to be a healer, I'd play a DPS if I wanted to DPS" and even "I play healer when I feel like being lazy" (That one made me really sad.)

No one ever said the healers have to put 200% effort. Please show me where this has been said.

All people ever said is that they want healers to try...thats freaking far from asking top dps.

Sorry, I have to pipe in too along with everyone else. This is 100% wrong. Everyone i've spoken to in game and on the forums, just wants a little effort. Some healers are more comfortable/more capable than others with DPSing during battle.

Effort can simply mean throwing on DoTs, or a holy here and there... its a matter of trying and comfort level. Comfort is the most important word there.

There will always be jerks that are the extreme ( of which you are speaking ) but those are also the jerks that get their party chats posted to the forums with their names blurred out for us to chuckle at. People that demand 200% effort from healers in casual content are silly and not to be taken seriously.
