Provide a warning about garden crops dying during extended server downtime

It is SE's fault for having a bad mechanic in their game. No player should have experienced this issue, its simply an example of a bad design that should be fixed. A warning would at least acknowledge the bad design and help people avoid the consequences of it.

Have you looked around at the game? That lot of places in the game, 2./3.0 was built on top of a broken system known as 1.0 which you can still see parts of to this day. So will never see a perfect or even near perfect running game.

Ok? So are you implying that because the game was broken in the beginning and still has broken elements, I shouldn't try to offer feedback to make it better?

What I'm offering here (along with others in this thread) is good, honest feedback along with a request for a very simple text warning.

I'm saying if they going to do anything they need to worry about fixing other things then a garden notification. Considering how broken the housing system is to begin with they need to fix that first then worry about gardens.

But do you not agree that a garden notification/warning would help gardeners avoid losing crops during downtime? Especially new gardeners like me who have never experienced such a downtime before? Such a solution would be simple to implement-- just add a few lines of text to the regular notifications regarding server downtime.

From a customer service stand point? Yes it would help cause in my experience with customer service people are too simple minded and put too much faith into others that it will be handled for them (which lot would ignore it anyways and still complain about it). Now my personal belief no I don't think it needed atm maybe if they ever fixing housing then add it but until then no.

So you admit that it would help from a customer service perspective, but you personally feel like now is not the time for it? I don't really understand your personal perspective, especially considering how easy it would be to provide a text warning to players about gardens. I'm not calling for them to re-design the entire housing system or even just the gardening system, I just want them to be clear about how downtime affects gardeners in their notifications/warnings, since this is not common knowledge.

I agree Lexia, bad housing system is BAD! I was spoiled with Wildstar housing which is the bomb and Star Wars the Old Republic was not too bad either. This is horrid in comparison and reminds me of a facebook hello Kitty Island hehe. Oh, BTW, my hubby tended the seeds before maint about 7 pm that evening and logged in after work Wed to find his plants dead.
