Yes, they (we) did, you're just making pointless claims/assumptions without any evidence based on your personal opinion, which is misguided imo.No they did not pay that close of attention otherwise they would not planted stuff instead they continued on like nothing was happening and assumed SE would take care of them and pause the timer or w/e instead of stopping to think about it and some did but decided to take the gamble and lost.
To be fair most seeds take 6 days or less to sprout. Anyone who lost plants from those seeds due to maintenance may suck at counting days, somehow ignored all the in-game and in-launcher warnings about maintenance, or assumed the plants would be in stasis and didn't try to confirm it.
I'm not saying I disagree with putting plants in stasis, just saying that in most cases losing plants due to long maintenance is easily avoided.
Sigh, read the rest of the thread. Thavnairian onions take 10 days and die faster than others, it's by far one of the most important high level crops.
And I agree, it is easily avoided IF YOU ALREADY KNOW ABOUT IT, but this is not common knowledge, thus, my request for A WARNING, not necessarily stasis.

As I've stated before in this thread, I did try to confirm with my guild, full of experienced players, and got mixed answers because, again, this is not common knowledge-- a warning would help inform more people.
Well in that case what you do is assume the worst and don't plant anything that might not bloom before servers are down.
Yeah that's great game design, expect players to assume the worst.
Who cares if its most seeds? If ANY seeds, particularly the most important seeds, are affected by this issue, then its a problem.
I didn't say it was good game design. I'm just telling you how to best mind yourself when you only have conflicting information as your guide.
Most important is a bit subjective but I get what you're saying. I agree this is an issue but the truth is a minority have access to housing, an even smaller minority garden, even smaller than that cross plant and even smaller regularly plant complex or 6 days + seeds to be caught any time extended maintenance happens.
I'm just being realistic here. A very tiny percentage of players are experiencing issues with plants and servers being down. The best we can hope for is a warning about it when maintenance is announced but I have to admit I would be surprised if it got enough attention for that to happen.
Did they tell you to come to the forums and ask? There were a couple of threads that other people asked about gardening, I replied to some of them as well as other telling those posters that if they were worried about losing their crops would best to not plant anything and wait until after the DC move. But looking at your post history you never came to the forums to ask anyone if anyone could give you a answer about your questions before the DC move but afterwards seem to know just where to come to tell everyone how you lost everything how bad the system is.
I came to the forums because the in-game support desk says this is where to go to submit feedback. I'd say something about how this reflects on their customer service, but honestly trying to defend my simple piece of feedback has been exhausting enough without even any official intervention. Seriously, why be so defensive for SE? Are they paying you for this, to defend their lack of support for one of their game mechanics? I'm just trying to draw attention to the issue, and I think my suggestion in the OP is incredibly reasonable, all things considered.Did they tell you to come to the forums and ask?
