Provide a warning about garden crops dying during extended server downtime

I had FC members who are in charge of gardening contact a GM regarding their expired plants due to maintenance and were reimbursed their original seeds. This is usually a one time fix and can take up to a week to happen.

Interesting, the GMs were unable or unwilling to do the same for me, even though I've never had any items restored before.

That a a one time thing, which I heard that feature is no longer offered anyways.

My husband lost his onion seeds because he is pretty new and didn't read the maint post. I told him this game is not like swtor, wow, etc. and he needs to find another if he can't pay close attention. I think he's quitting because the gil accumulation for players til they hit 60 with high level gatherers is so poor and he wasted a lot on the seeds hehe. After playing many MMOS, I find this the least player-friendly.

Sorry to hear about your hub's losses, I also lost my onion seeds and know its painful (I'm not a rich player, those onions would have gone a long way). I understand his desire to stop playing, as I am ambivalent about playing FFXIV now too.

I would also have to agree that FFXIV is not as player-friendly as it could/should be. Fixing the crops-dying-during-downtime, or at least warning of it, would be an inch in the right direction, though.
