SE Please add jump and swiming

Zaireeka2025 see what i meant when i said i can't see how anyone could come up with an intelligent reply? IveraIvalice felt so overwhelmed by your amazing post that all he could come up with is a post that said absolutely nothing. And i quote "all i've seen is stupid jumping in other mmos" Have you even played these MMOs or you just basing your comment on youtube videos?

And you even proved everyone right that the only arguments that people have against jump is "it looks stupid". Well if i might say so myself, you make yourself look stupid with a post like that and that was a post that truly deserves being called garbage. You even gave more arguments for jumping then against it in your own post LOL.

Everything Zaireeka2025 said can be applied to any other video game genre. SF2 didn't need super moves, combos, parries etc... but now in 2011 i wouldn't expect SF4 or SF5 to not have them either just because once upon a time 15 years ago it wasn't needed.

Just like nobody would accept or buy Call of duty MW3 if it didn't have all the features that have become FPS standard today.

i almost didnt want to respond to this because im not here to argue with people for no reason. im here to help the creators improve the game for the player base by giving them feedback.
and because of that, im not a closed minded person who says no jump, end of story. jumping would be fine if it were compromised to meet both of our needs. thats why my post was alittle more towards "for jumping" before.

i dont get how you didnt understand that. it wasnt a long and complicated post, it was simply, since we know each others arguments now lets think of a solution. not very complicated, but i thought i would let you know, so you dont look too stupid to everyone else who understood what i was trying to say.

now then, there is nothing against anyone in here but some of the posts here are really not helping the game at all, so if zaireeka2025 came up with some good ideas earlier then thats great, but that one post didnt seem like bringing the community together again.

so if people want jump so much, i would suggest making it an action you press when your up against certain objects you can hop over. thats what i would prefer. everyone feel free to state your opinions but please stop flaming each other and try to actually benifit the game and ALL of its players as much as possible

You changed your tune quite fast there. While you were there slandering me, others saw the point I was trying to make. So you yourself fed the flaming fire with the rest of us. Don't think yourself the peacebringer.

Now that the Prince of Peace here has made his point, I'm all for coming to a middleground. Jump prompts are ok by me. My only qualm is that it seems quite time consuming to program this idea. It might be a lot easier for the dev team to implement a free jump system with a cooldown/animation lag to avoid spamming, instead of programming thousands of jump prompt areas all over Eorzea.

someone has to stop the community from going off track, it was my intent to benefit the game from the start, but since posts are stupid sometimes i cant help but laugh.
