I've been in f2p games quite some time and tbh I found the mog pricing so low that isn't so much a burden have to purchase multiple times the same item.

FFXIV isn't F2P though...we pay money every month to play. You even have to pay a higher sub fee to get more than one character per server (unless you are legacy) yet you purchase mog station stuff and it only goes to one character...

So having to purchase multiples is kind of ridiculous. It should be account wide.

I'm not sure if we should compare our prices with games that are entirely free to play while we still have subscription fees. In most F2P games, the conversion rate (the amount of players actually paying compared to the amount playing) is anywhere between 2 and 30 percent, which means at least 70% of players never pay a dime. In this game, you got a 100% conversion rate through subs plus a surplus via cash shop.

Yes, comparison between subs and f2p is quite difficult to do. On a more general point of view, I feel that playing a subs game is much less expensive that a f2p game (provided you want keep to play both at higher tiers) and the likely reason is your one, aka much less people giving bucks to the publisher.

To make it tl:dr I just think the mog station not overpriced. I feel this topic better be talked in another thread, 'tho, we derailed it a little but worth discussing.

I personally prefer to have achievements not shared.

I enjoy working hard for good rewards. If I decide that I'd rather start over, I'd like to experience the grind for achievements.

Will be unfair if you were limited to one character and others will not. Using one or more characters will be a choice.

Considering I can get 40 characters at the price most people pay for 8, yes that's unfair.

Legacy accounts got a discount.

I don't think it matters, though. We're talking about people who might, hypothetically, burn through their leves on more than 8 characters on a regular basis. High level characters at that, because leve gains rise with level.

What do you think, how many people are going to reap a substantial advantage from that? One, maybe three?

Yep, agree, how much someone pay for his sub isn't related with in game advantages over other people. Legacy and standard accounts have allowed exactly the same 40 characters.
