Well in all fairness, I will back the guy who said most tanks bolt before you can Com them... so you have to be quick about it or you can't give them props for a good job. From a tanks point of view we don't get as many comm's as people think we do. Or at least I don't despite doing everything in my power to make the run as fast and smooth as I can for everyone. If I had to guess I would say 50-60% go to the healer, cause healers are the only role you can't live without. 20-30% to the DPS, cause it's better then comm'ing that tank that already gets enough as is. And 10-20% to the tank, cause the DPS stood in the fire and the healer can't comm him/her self. But that's just my point of view on things.
As for me when DPS'ing: Tank >> Healer* >> good/same DPS >> Friendly person >> Person with good glamour >> no one gets one.
*Starts here when I'm a tank.
Personally, I think that either tanks and healers getting most comms is a misconception, or there truly has been an over correction the other way based on that misconception. Most of my comms are actually from when I mained BRD. My healer comms.... eh, it seems kind of random. One dungeon I may do amazing, straight carrying the dps through it, and keeping a very squishy tank alive. And... zero comms. Another I may be running as SCH to get a bit of practice with my least played healer job, and walk away with 2.
Part of it may simply be that fewer people even comm at all anymore.
I ran groups of 2 ( me and a friend) and groups of 3, we frequently see people simply not coming, other times I would get all 3 as sch solo.Personally, I think that either tanks and healers getting most comms is a misconception, or there truly has been an over correction the other way based on that misconception. That's fair, and I understand when that happens too. Sometimes I get this really awesome DPS that just melted everything in seconds, and at the end their gone before my screen is even done fading to black after the boss kill.
