At some point they decided to cancel it and focus on the summoner itself, we got the trance in the expansion. If i am not mistaken they stated to keep focusing on the summoner rather the pets onward. The trance system it's a good one and it could be very well exploited in future abilities, i just hope they give the pets some love on traits or something.
If they were it didn't last beyond the development of Ramuh egis after that it was dropped then they mentioned glamour egis and I knew at that point we won't get the summoner that is from the final fantasy series but a warlock class from WoW with skin changes just like WoW does in there for changing the way the summons look in the game.
