Lol Yoshi P was channeling me.
I would love for some well thought out questions to make it in for a change.
A lot of the times its repeats of stuff we already had answered.

Yoshi is known for hating Q&As as of late due to how repetitive or silly the questions get.He seems like he is tired of the nonsense to me. Asked about harder stuff and he answers basically (paraphrasing here) "If we make it hard they complain, if we make it easy they complain."
Asked about the ilv280 weapons and he literally says everyone need to calm down.
There were parts where he seemed if not on the surface, a bit irritated. I may be reading to much into his words and body language, but it just felt like watching a man on his last nerve watching him this weekend.
Am I the only one who noticed this?
By the same token, what can be asked that wouldn't be replied with "I can't talk about that yet"?
If we asked him about details for changes to the battle system (something that's pretty damn important), he'd say he can't talk about it. If we asked him about what they're looking to do with squadrons and what their current progress is, he'd say we have to wait. We can't ask story or location specifics because those won't get answered.
To prove my point, here's a list of stuff I would ask that I feel would get brushed aside and not answered directly:
- Materia has become items gained through currency while undermining the assimilation system. Are there plans to change the overall materia system (maybe get rid of assimilation and create a new DoH class that entirely deals with using gear to create materia) in the future?
- How do the developers feel about the change in focus for Summoner that came with Heavensward? Will the job continue to be developed leaning towards mechanics like Dreadwyrm Trance, or will there be a return to a focus on pets?
- What are the developer team's feelings on recent player behaviors, including the fixation on skipping mechanics via raw DPS (read: skip Soar)? Will you continue with this approach or are steps being taken for future encounters to prevent that sort of behavior?
- Dungeon design seems to focus a lot on sequential progression (read: everything is a corridor). Have the developers considered using more open locales with varied paths (example: a dungeon with 4 bosses that has no set path, where the first three bosses can be killed in any order, which then allows you to fight the fourth boss)?
- Have the developers considered encounters with mechanics that alter gameplay and player movement (example: gaining a buff via mechanics that allows you to cast while moving, a player gaining a buff to temporarily grow to 10 times their size and gain extra abilities)?
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)
"R: Currently in fights such as Zurvan with soar and multiple points in A11S such as the entire ball phase, like the four balls, it’s possible to skip these due to high amounts of raid DPS. This can make some fights awkward to execute and make some players feel like skipping these is the only option in the fight, like we’ve seen big community backlash where if you can’t skip soar we’re going to disband the party. Are there any plans to address this in new raids like Omega and future primals? In North America this is a bigger problem specifically.
Y: All in all it depends on who is creating the content. If the game designer is a veteran, and they should have designed it so that you wouldn’t have to worry about that sort of phase shift thus it won’t make it so that the HP is not so severely taken away in raid content. That’s our hope from the designers side that we’ll make our best effort, but at this point all we can say is that we’ll be very mindful of the situation when we’re developing our content. That’s about the extent I can say at this point."

At least one of your questions were answered recently in an interview. I'm not so sure you would get such a detailed response in a Q&A but I don't believe these type of questions would be dismissed since they are asking about future content without asking them to reveal any content.
I.e. Questions that are trying to find out the vision the devs have for boss/class/level designs. What are they happy with and what are they considering to change.
Regardless if you like the answer these are the questions we need. Not some repeated pet wishlist.
I'm tired of glamour questions. My inventories are mostly full at this point. I'm fine with just letting the developers make what they want. A few requests once in awhile are understood, but I think it would be okay to slow down.
Nothing beats the multiple egi glamor questions at NA Las Vegas 2016 FanFest when they had -just- been answered that same weekend. Same hour even.
They never had a focus on pets from the starting it was pretty obvious since the release of the job that it was more focused on spells then the pets themselves since the pets lack so much in terms of abilities that can be used and with them stating they're happy with only 3 pets and using the archetype system(Which is terrible idea btw). Expect more focus on spells again in the coming expansion.
Actually they started focusing on the pets, they were working on releasing Ramuh-Egi and Shiva-Egi before Heavensward. At some point they decided to cancel it and focus on the summoner itself, we got the trance in the expansion. If i am not mistaken they stated to keep focusing on the summoner rather the pets onward. The trance system it's a good one and it could be very well exploited in future abilities, i just hope they give the pets some love on traits or something. They never had a focus on pets from the starting it was pretty obvious since the release of the job that it was more focused on spells then the pets themselves since the pets lack so much in terms of abilities that can be used and with them stating they're happy with only 3 pets and using the archetype system(Which is terrible idea btw). If they were it didn't last beyond the development of Ramuh egis after that it was dropped then they mentioned glamour egis and I knew at that point we won't get the summoner that is from the final fantasy series but a warlock class from WoW with skin changes just like WoW does in there for changing the way the summons look in the game.Actually they started focusing on the pets, they were working on releasing Ramuh-Egi and Shiva-Egi before Heavensward. I believe the Glamour was considered while later in Heavensward, i am not entirely sure right now at the moment and i would have to look into it >.> But yeah, at one point they talked about adding them, not sure if it was in Heavensward or before it. I just remember then they decided to change their decission about it. About the class itself i have mixed feelings, having played XI and SMN involved i loved the management of the avatars, on the other hand i know it wont fit in this game such a playstyle from that game. Being fair, "summoner" from the series it's a caster who uses the power of the primals to cast spells. If it was on that fashion i wouldnt mind to have spells based on primal attacks (even if they are still dots but with another appearance) in the same fashion as Yuna in the Dissidia series. If they were it didn't last beyond the development of Ramuh egis after that it was dropped then they mentioned glamour egis and I knew at that point we won't get the summoner that is from the final fantasy series but a warlock class from WoW with skin changes just like WoW does in there for changing the way the summons look in the game.
