I just threw that together in ms paint for fun.

And the reason i put it like that, with the item being removed, is because i thought that was the reason people want the glamour log?
To free up space and remove old gear that they don't want to use anymore, but still want to glamour.
That wouldn't mean that normal glamour would be gone either, you could still hold on to gear you want to use and still glamour it like normal.
At least that's how i'd imagine it to work.

We already have the binding system in place, why not just use that upon adding it to the glamour log? Then the player can decide how they should free up the space (discard/vendor/hand in for gc seals) if they no longer have any use for it. Surely it isn't that tough now is it? (Barring the first time the system is introduced)
The other way would be having the Glamour log work like an expanded armory, i guess?
    Hope you can forgive me
How would you like it to work?
It's nothing personal, I'm just against the idea that's all. I'll explain why the item being destroyed is a bad idea. Say you already have an alex weapon and you're working on a relic for glamour. So if you want to glamour stage X of relic onto your alex weapon, it will destroy your relic weapon in the process of adding it to the glamour log. Then what happen when the next stage of relic update is release? Are you going to work on the relic from scratch again? Granted things are better now that replica relic is a thing, but do note that it only gives you up to stage X-1 of the relic. So what's next? You're going to wait til the next relic update patch to be release before you will glamour it? Doesn't that sound ridiculous?

Since we already have a binding system in game, why not just utilized that? Then let the players decide how (discard/vendor/hand-in for seals) to free up the slot themselves. Surely it isn't that difficult now, is it? Well, maybe barring the first time the system is introduce but I think you get the point.

TL;DR Just let untradeable (relic/raid/dungeon/achievement) loot be automatically added to glamour log upon obtain and bind tradeable (lvl 1 crafted) gear to character upon manually adding it to glamour log. Then let the players discard the gear after if they have no future use for it.
