    I always miss the good things lately . Balmung has the best drama sometimes.

    I've seen people argue about crazy, hilariously trivial stuff like RP etiquette, triggering (people were actually arguing about what justifies being triggered once), crafting rotations, bald eagles (Wut?), insects (more wut?), and now apparently they argue about FATEs too....

    TBH these fate things are garbage anyway. Back when I was on famfrit I never even got enough people to help to even get credit to get a token. I was only ever able to get some items once I moved to Excalibur. That is pretty sad considering I was on famfrit for like 2 years and not able to get items because of low participation. Not only that but the things spawn so infrequently I was often in a dungeon or raid when they spawned or when I get on people say Yui you missed your fate it was when you were at work (my name on famfrit)...it is really wonderful. Now I finally have ultima horns and 2 coeurlregina horns after playing for 2 years lol.

    Luckily for me I don't care for the horns, so I saw the thread and was like oh a Balmung player - good luck mate XD. But missing the FATE doesn't hurt me. FATEs on Balmung is important to get into the ball of death, if you're not in the ball of death you're not getting the FATE.
    Agreed, it is a design problem, it needs changing.

    Actually the bolded part of your post is the only request you made in your original post, and it was rather vague. You requested changes to be made but didn't provide any details and based on the topic I assumed you were searching for the same kind of 'bad' solutions others have requested in the past. You certainly didn't request for it to be made like other FATEs so idk where that came from. So yeah maybe I shouldn't have assumed but I hardly put any words in your mouth either or claimed you said anything that you didn't. I said 'IF' you meant for certain solutions to be put in place it's a bad idea but that other solutions could work.

    Reading comprehension check, buddy. Enough with waiting 1+ real life time for anything could imply that you want the time to be the same as regular FATEs but doesn't explicitly state it. As for my putting words in your mouth, did you even read my post or just skim over it? I'll bold some parts you should reread.

    ^ So here I was saying that in the past on these forums when people have made requests for changes about not being able to get something because spawn time is so low and it gets zerg rushed, they usually suggest one of the following 'solutions' I listed. NOT YOU SPECIFICALLY, THE OTHER PEOPLE.

    So if they are suggesting

    ^ And here again, NOT saying that you are suggesting these things, I'm saying that IF those were things you would suggest as solutions I would be all for it. It was more of a hypothetical than anything else.

    Honestly I think rare FATEs should remain exactly that. Rare and hard to get to. If they spawn all the time what's even the point of making them rare to begin with and offering special rewards for their completion? As others in this thread have already said, they were there for this FATE and still had time to go from their house and fly all the way across the map and still take part. It sounds like you had plenty of time and were just ill prepared.

    Yanno... I have no problems with FATES like Odin, Behemoth and Prey Online (Proto Ultima), but the one I DO have a gripe with is Couerlregina.

    I have been wanting to finish that achievement for a while now and I've completed the first stage more than once. But the whole, "Okay, see you in 4 hours for the next part!" bit really annoys me. I wouldn't mind if it was a rare 3-part spawn if the FATEs spawned back to back, but 4 hours between parts??? And if you miss the last part 8 hours later (provided people actually showed up to kill the second part)? Welp, too bad, wait for it to spawn againl Just utterly ridiculous to expect a player to have to plan pretty much an entire work day around making sure they can get to the 3rd FATE when it spawns and get Gold on it as well...
