Here's the thing, in another interview he not only breaks down the Job selection process but also discusses role allotment, in addition he blatantly states He does not pick what is implemented.

In hindsight this may very well be in response to the whining we got from Dark Knight being announced as a Tank rather than a DPS.

I'm still hoping SAM (if it ends up being SAM) is a DD but, not holding my breath so I don't end up too disappointed. Will still give it a shot if it ends up being a tank though can't say I'd main it as I'm not really very comfortable with main tanking. Definitely considering switching my BRD main to RDM though. Fanfest can't come soon enough o)-<

Yeah! Ha ha ha this pic never gets old, also pretty close to the iconic and first Samurai Job implemented(FFV) as fat as the armor, id classify it like DRG armor, lightweight, sturdy, high mobility.

It make more sense for Blue Mage more then Samurai because of how Spider-Man got his powers. I would like to see both but I'm leaning toward Blue Mage personally. I've always had a thing for the "use the powers of the enemy against them" thing.

Didn't really have skin in the SAM vs. BlU game, but videos of Nioh have made me very nostalgic about SAM. I'm about one bandwidth cap away from regaining access to my old FFXI account and taking SAM for a whirl again.

I assume you're talking about me since I referenced his comments recently, in which I'd point out I was using his stance on Samurai to show that it isn't "definitely going to be tank" and is still up in the air. And while he doesn't personally design every little thing in the game, as he can't and that's not how big game companies work, he could absolutely say "I want it DD, make it DD" and that would be the end of the story. So his opinion definitely matters.

I don't feel like he will make it DD or tank for sure (things change, etc, etc), but for people who are posting like "it's going to be tank" there is more to say it isn't decided or fixed than to say it is. It was not some offhand comment saying that it was going to be DD/Tank for sure, just that I don't see where people's confidence is coming from rather than just their own wish that it would be (due to DF, or personal role they'd like it to be) - as a lot of people seem to be posting it as a matter of fact. Personally would not be shocked if it was DD or Tank.

I would be surprised if it was a healer though, that'd catch me off guard.. lol.

No i was not singling you out specifically, if i had i would have addressed you as such. By and far the argument "Yoshi said..." is used far to often by far to many and finished far less so. I only felt it is ignorant and a disservice, for so many to quote a partial comment as gospel. You took the time ta at least add a link to the interview so as to provide the Full comment.

I'll be happy to put this issue to rest when the last Job is reveled, regardless of role or number.
