Mentor Players Kicking newer players from Duty Ques for low DPS

I find it extremely sad to what lengths people here go to defend bad mentors. "Oh no, a duty MIGHT take 5 minutes longer?! Obviously, the new player expects a carry! Kick is justified! Who needs to give tips or help, we can't be expected to waste those 5 minutes!"

I'm sure those are also the guys who leave after one wipe, even though a boss was at 5% and duty could probably be cleared after a second try.

Please, some people in this thread really shouldn't become mentors. If you want all players to perform 100% (and kick those that don't), feel free to do so, but don't become mentors, because I don't think you know what being a mentor means.

(Also, just for the record mentors don't have to bear EVERYTHING, if someone is not taking advise and being rude about it, or is just auto attacking and actually expecting a carry, then yes, kick them, but if someone is trying their best, you kick them just because their ilevel is low or they are missing 2 abilities? Shame on you)

Except nobody is defending that mentor kicking OP without actually mentoring first. What people are saying is OP cannot be surprised they were kicked if they don't have the near mandatory cross classes and adequate gear regardless of whether the person who initiated the vote kick was a mentor.

Read before YOU post. Stating that I had met the minimal requirements for that instance means i had the gear lvl required to clear the dungeon. I just wasnt overgeared like people who have more then 2 months into the game would

I canget into Alexander 9 savage wearing a mix mash of ilevel180 gear and i270 gear. The minimum ilevel was intended to be for people with gear which is roughly of the same ilevel for example if minimum ilevel was 240, it was made for people with mostly i240 gear. The only thing getting you passed the minimum ilevel is your 250 gear. All that ilevel 150 gear doesn't get synched up, so your dps will be hugely hindered because of that discrepancy.

Average ILvL is average, yeah some slots had more weight than others and people should focus on those first.

Fact is: OP met the minimum ilevel requirements for the duty. That means they can complete the duty. Maybe not with as high dps as some people expect, but kick for "low ilevel" was NOT justified.

Only reason would be if they inflated their ilevel with wrong equipment (for example intelligence gear on Bard).

They had adequate gear for the dungeon, they just aren't helplessly overgeared for the dungeon like most people are at the moment. They cannot get new, better gear if they can't complete dungeons. How are they supposed to gear up otherwise?
Also, I agree that those skills are important to do their job, but at the same time, I expect mentors to tell new players that instead of insta kicking. I mean, I once had a co-tank who had no provoke on Alexander NM and it was painful so I do know.

I agree! Thank you. I dont have a problem kicking someone who is rude or not playing their role correctly. But if you are trying and you understand the mechanics and you are being friendly why kick? Why not take the extra few minutes to help that person clear the content they need cleared? I dont ever go into a dungeon with the mentality of ima get carried. I always watch guides before entering. So what i do 500 less dps..
