Request to unlock Hempen set styles

Greetings, glamour enthusiasts!

Thanks for the feedback and the discussion! We have relayed the feedback from this thread to the dev. team.

We understand the desire to have the variances in the Hempen set unlocked across all the races, and also understand those who prefer to preserve the uniqueness of these sets.

Since there are players who are both for and against this type of change, we'd like additional feedback to determine whether we should unlock the Hempen set varieties for all races, or if we should keep these glamours race-specific in order to retain the uniqueness. Please let us know which you would prefer, and we will pass these thoughts back to the dev. team.

I think it's safe to assume that, at least here, the majority of people wants the restriction to be removed.
To put it simple: The Highlander that is going to have his Hempen outfit unlocked for other races isn't being restricted from using it anymore, he's just making it possible for other people to use the same gear that he's wearing, which should be like that by default. I don't understand, even lorewise, what's preventing any race from using certain pieces or cloth or leather. I bet some people would complain about it at first but when they realize that opening their "unique" glamour options for other races also means that they can use other race's glamour as well, everything will be fine.

So my vote for unlocking is yes.

The races look different, yes. But that's as far as it goes with the differences between races, this game offers little to none content to bring out the uniqueness of each race. And while hempen sets might not be the best way to bring that out, at least it's something, at least it gives a little bit more uniqueness to each race.

If the goal is to provide a greater sense of each race's cultural traditions (which I very much agree with, and think is far too lacking currently), wouldn't it be just as effective to have a "Hempen Undershirt in a Miqo'te style" and "Hempen Undershirt in an Elezen style" and so on as it is to have a single "Hempen Undershirt" item that just looks different based on who's wearing it? I don't think we need them locked to a race in order to provide a cultural link to that race, we just need the cultural link identified (which it currently isn't).

If you want uniqueness, why not sport your unique glamour 24/7?

And I hate the Highlander Pantalettes. So I typically glamour something else their, including various swimsuit bottoms, Hyur Skirt, Uraeus Skirt, Bunny legs, pants!, etc. Not having the option to glam the other races forces me to find alternative solutions to my Legs glamour. And tbh, while I will seldom glam the Hyur Top and Gloves on, I also extremely dislike the Hyur Boots so I almost never use those on glams.

You know what you intended it to state better than anyone else does. But what you actually said was that the majority is one group and loyal customers are a separate group, and that those two groups are in opposition to each other, because listening to one doesn't include listening to the other. If anything, it's you who was playing the victim there, not Kosmos. She just called you out on it.

The polite way to respond to someone calling you out on a statement you made is to apologize, and clarify what you misspoke earlier to tell them what you'd intended it to say. (Assuming that it's not what you intended to say, which your arguments that you didn't say it seem to suggest.)

What you may have wanted to say, and what you -actually- said, are two very different things (Assuming you aren't just trying to cover for a clear rip on the supporters of this thread.)

What your post says, quite literally, is that the people who are part of the majority are not 'loyal customers'. Regardless if this is intended or not, that -is- what it says. But it honestly seems quite a lot like you're simply resorting to insults (the whole victim card nonsense) because someone called you out on.. what was basically an insult from the beginning. Like I said though, that may not have been intended. But that doesn't stop your defense from devolving into an insult nonetheless.

And imagine, you could find the things that you may consider perfect for your style if your options were increased. Your style is your uniqueness. Not the race. You just need the race to express your style. And even then you could probably push it further if you had more options.

I don't believe anyone actually commented they didn't feel loyal, or didn't want to. If you meant what you said, good for you. You have an opinion too. But there's no need to throw a fit or insult people because you have a differing opinion. Everyone can see your comment, and most people will probably (I'm not saying they will, though it seems like it thus far) agree that it was more of an insult to people who want this change more than anything. A change that -literally- hurts nothing. That doesn't change the game in almost any way whatsoever. Don't understand why you need to insult people over that. But, oh well, it's not like I'm getting anywhere with this I suppose.

Technically no, there are additional factors in determining the uniqueness of my style and the images I can capture.

Race specific gear, Race specific hairstyles, and Race specific emotes.

Don't misunderstand, I'm always for adding more glamour/hairstyles/emotes, but not at the expense of taking away from the existing uniqueness of each race.

Playing a Highlander is a choice I made, and I have to deal with the "consequences" of that.

For instance, I have entered a majority of the screenshot contest here (since I began playing)... and I could definitely make an argument that not having access to certain race restricted emotes is a disadvantage when putting together a composition for entry. The reverse argument is that it gives each race unique advantages that somehow balance out... I'd rather keep the unique stuff unique and EXPAND upon that with new RSE sets.

I'm for unlocking the hempen set. I would, however, like to see some new outfits designed for each race though and possibly make them obtainable through race based quests that add more to the lore of each race and ethnicity and how their ways of life and cultures are affected by the events of the story.
