Here to show my support once again. Im so salty as a Viera that I have to use the human hempen style, its my least favourite and if for some reason I can use the human one then why the heck not the elven one?

for a year, would you rather be secretly filmed at random moments and have the footage uploaded to your social media or loose $100 when ever you said a curse word?
I love being a Roe but I don't like that our hempen camise isn't even hemp. It's leather, and hard to match with my WoL's sense of style. I'd love male midlander's basic tank top without the tattoos and filth the Firmament tank gives, and catgirls have that sweet 90's as heck halter.
Even when all races have their 'origin story', culture in this game is largely based on geographical location, not races, even if they're the dominant population. Say, just because most of Ishgard's populaton are Elezen, doesn't mean Ishgardian = Elezen, and inversely doesn't mean that every Elezen is an Ishgardian.
The starter gear (with the exception of Viera, I guess) and their hempen sets are just random clothings the devs made for each race, but have no significance whatsoever culturally or racially.
Roegadyn lore wise are supposed to be proud of their bodies and show them off. Which makes perfect sense for female roe starter items. But every NPC we've met has been fully dressed with the exception of a little chest from Merlwyb and Rasho.Even when all races have their 'origin story', culture in this game is largely based on geographical location, not races, even if they're the dominant population. Yay 100 pages. I really wish that this would get relooked at. When it got asked all those years ago sadly it confused the devs by the wording of the question. As even though some 1.0 players have said the armor slots had an actual underwear slot. When this got asked the response came off as though the devs thought we were asking for the "underwear" we have now. As I remember them mentioning something about how separating said underwear from the body would be difficult as it's part of the skin mesh or something. Even if they couldn't separate the shown look from race I would also be fine with them making separate items with each look. Can we also at some point get more sleep wear? Only having the one nightgown all these years is sad.

In the Q&A it was asked if they plan to remove racial restrictions for haircuts and hempen sets. The haircuts part of the question got a normal answer like "we don't want to give all the haircuts to everybody", but then when talking about the hempen gear Yoshi was talking about ID0 and ID1 and how ID0 was the character's "skin" and couldn't be changed and ID1 is normal gear, which sounds like he thought the question was about the underwear appearance of a naked character and didn't make any sense as a response about hempen gear.
