I like Final Fantasy.Forgive my curiosity, but what exactly do you like about FFXIV and the franchise as a whole? I don't want to come across as mean but I'm rather puzzled since almost every post of yours that I've seen is based around negativity aimed at the game and/or franchise as a whole.
I don't like Kingdom Hearts-ish Final Fantasy.

It's not a big deal really, but just for the sake of answering you, I 'think' you must click to edit the post but then select 'Go Advanced'. If not, then I suppose I am thinking of other forums!

I do wonder why they chose to call it Daddy of Light considering the Japanese お父さん would more usually be translated as Dad or Father. They had to know that Daddy can come off a bit creepy when it is an older person saying it rather than a young child, right?
In any case, I am looking forward to watching this!

@Knahli:
That's where I tried to change the title, but it seems that only affects the post's title, not the entire thread :x
@Hirskuwil:
To be fair, I'm really not sure just how well-known that is outside of English-speaking countries. I'm not a native speaker myself, and if it weren't for the release of FFXV recently (and the internet going nuts over Gladio), I'd have also thought it's nothing more than an endearing term used for one's own father ^^"They had to know that Daddy can come off a bit creepy when it is an older person saying it rather than a young child, right?

Indeed. It's a pretty sad indictment of gamers that they cannot see something without immediately assuming something 'wrong' about it. Kind of depressing actually.
Not sure which is more sad, people assuming it's something weak and childish because of the used of "Daddy" or those assuming something sexual is suggested by "Daddy". Really people, elevate your minds, God knows no one else can do it for you.No, it's a legitimate, official project
It's a story about a son gifting his father the game because they have grown distant,
and then helps him with things ingame without revealing his identity.
It's a story about father/son bonding, so the #daddy is literal, not the..well, the other meaning.
2 things. One, did it ever cross your mind that the name might be for the JPN audience and is appropriate to the context? Two, why in hell would you conclude something creepy decause of the use of the word "Daddy"?
Care to explain why in the name of the wee man it's considered creepy anywhere?
I'm English, and other than the largely *American* slang use of Daddy in certain contexts, which unfortunately seem to infect other English speaking countries sooner or later, "Daddy" is an endearing term for one's own father. Rather like Mummy is an endearing term for one's mother, not simply a word that describes a rampaging long dead mummified 'god' of Egypt...To be fair, I'm really not sure just how well-known that is outside of English-speaking countries. I'm not a native English speaker and it's the same with those who make this drama. I know it's kind of weird with the title but it's understandable and not much of a deal so why not let it slide and just enjoy it?

Easy there Kosmos. Half of those people are joking, the other just watched too many dirty movies and gutter mind is the reflex retort. I, for one, found the title hilarious because I keep thinking at first glance its some title you'd think you'd find on a educational channel for kids.
At any rate, nothing to be depressed about. Just eyeroll it and move on![]()
Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.

Yea I heard about this. Hildiboned co-stars in this brand new film starring Minfeelin'ya. I got a sneak peak at the intro script.
(Minfeelin'ya stumbles into the Rising Pillar at Mor Bhona frantically and in desperation.) "Oh Please! Is the Warrior of Light here?!"
(Hildiboned approaches Minfeelin'ya.) "I'm not the Warrior of Light, but I could give you an Echo.
*Under the Weight starts playing on the Orchestrion*
-Oh yea baby. How far can you take that Echo? 15%? 20%?

This sounds like it could be a great show. Here's hoping that Crunchyroll or Netflix pull a streaming license for it.
