I think SE was spot on with having Physical Levels, why? Because it forces us, the players, to make a choice. We have to actually create and develop our characters to our playstyle ideal. Without physical levels mixing and matching doesn't have the same appeal, and everyone will be playing the calculated 'best build' for each class. Soon, we will get stuck in a position AGAIN, where if you don't play with the best skills from a set group of classes to be in a party.

I personally, would be miffed if it came to that. There is a big difference between things being De Facto or De Jure. Right now, we can be as custom as we like, but we have to sacrifice for it; which is what makes it so great.

If everyone is perfect, then there is no uniqueness. Perfect is no longer perfect, it's normal.

With all that said, "I want my allocated points to mean something."

I mean, you already have a lot of skills from other classes, so you are overpowered anyways.Compared to someone who just started brand new.
Why not instead let you customize your character fully?Or at least to a degree when the impact at lv 50 to move stats around is important and not minimal.

We have enough idiots who don't know how to play their classes at this point. No need to give them more power than necessary.
