Is this a hack or BRD OP issue?

It's PvP. You're going to die. You're not supposed to be able to not be killed.

It gets easier with time. You'll learn what works and what doesn't work by dying and dying often.

FYI: Any crowd control you use on a bard, use it twice. If we're going to burst you, we most likely have Wardens Paean on.

They're called OGCD for a reason, literally every dps job could do the same and probably do for pvp.

Have you actually played this game? Christ, you main Ninja. You have your Mudras, Jugulate, Mug, Assassinate, and Dream within a Dream.

1. Saying this as a friend. you really should just let this one go cause this isn't something that is a "issue"?
2. He possibly hit you with Sidewinder at the very end. all of the skills he used are ogcds. meaning they do not follow the global cooldown as other skills (ex. straight shot, heavy shot)

4. Bard is not OP, BRD has difficulty landing a kill based on range or getting his burst denied in a instant. He may not have used buffs but brd burst is still deadly enough to kill someone off-guard
5. throwing a stone 1 on a dps that is bursting you is not the best option and possibly will get you killed.
6. Holmgang is not a free kill.

How is it not? I can be running with my alliance, suddenly, I am pulled with Holmgang and I can't move, I cant cast spells, i can't use abilities, and just die.

I'm not saying this to be nasty or anything....but ^ coupled with the fact you swiftcast stone...you sound like you have no idea how to PVP. Which is completely fine. It can be difficult transitioning into PVP: Skills that have little PVE use are often kings here. Was you close to him? You could have used Fluid Aura to interupt him for a second to get off a cure. You -should- have Swiftcast > Repose > healed yourself and waited for your team.

I was not hurt, there was no "Swiftcast > Repose > healed yourself" when I had full hp and stoneskin, why do you think the first hit did little compared to the other 2? I was far away simply trying chase the person down, they where running away from me, it was out of range of Fluid Aura. The person killed me before I could do anything, as in my global recasts did not finish when I died.

If this is "balance" in your eyes, how come I do not have different cast timers for cure, cure II, medica, medica II, and anything swiftcast? at the very least swiftcast > spell should not put me on a golbal cooldown? this is the brd logic after all.. well if whm was programed like bard, i mean.

Also, as a healer. your job is not to "Chase" people. yes you can throw a stone 1 and slow them, but it's not your job to secure/fight enemies. that's what DPS are there for. you can throw our skills and ability to negate their esacpes or make it easier for your dps to kill them.

If it's a lone WAR and they Holmgang me, I pop Equa and chain Bene II through the Fell Cleave spam, or just spam my instant shields on AST and wait it out. You can still cast stuff on yourself while you're 'ganged, you just can't cast on the WAR if he grabs you from behind.

If a WAR snags me with a pile of buddies right behind him, I Purify, Sprint, and GTFO. Works pretty much every time. Always makes me chuckle seeing them standing there impotently while I leave them in the dust...I imagine them shaking a fist at me like a cheesy cartoon villain as I roll out.

I bet you made the mistake of targeting a teammate and popping purify and it went to the teammate instead of you. that happens.

But if you get holmgang and you popped purify, you escape it. if it "failed" it's something you messed up, it's not the games fault.

Purify can be used on others. You probably had someone else targeted. Could macro "/ac purify <me>" . You do sometimes want to use it on teammates, so might want to keep it on your bars alongside the macro
