I stopped paying attention to it because of one word: Troll


As what I feel may be going on in this thread.

Of course, anyone who disagrees with you or the popular viewpoint must be a troll.

There are only 4 instance of All worlds maintenance in that link, 5 if you count the current patch. There is PSN maintenance , specific datacenter maintenance , lodestone and mogstation maintenance listed that bloats the maintenance list to look full of stuff.

So, going back to the start of November, there are only 4 that impact everyone.

Those are the ones I'm talking about.

All Worlds Emergency Maintenance (Nov. 2)
(5 day seperation)
All Worlds Maintenance (Nov. 7)
(7 day seperation)
All Worlds Maintenance (Nov. 14)

I'm sure I can find more of this, even longer bouts actually that I recall, if you really want me to.

I view anyone as a troll who can't put up a reason what they hear, feel, saw, smell of whatever they're trying to argue.

I've given him a very simple argument. What makes XIV a special case, why is it acceptable and understandable that it takes so much longer for minor and major patches than the average MMO?

All he continues to do is post link after link of walls of text that the average reader passing by will not read, that has no explanation at all of why XIV requires longer maintenances than other MMOs. Which I'm guessing is the oh-so-popular obfuscation of information technique employed on the official forums in debates. Post a link, people see you posted a link and might assume you've disproved the person you're debating with.

I see many lasting more than 1 hour and some on consecutive days.

I see far more 1 hour maintenances. Are we looking at the same page?
