I have everything at 60, what is there left for me to level? The leveling experience outside of going through the main story is boring. Once I have the first job to cap, the rest just get leveled through roulettes, but i wouldnt call it fun. This past week, I feel like I'm the only person that likes leveling anymore![]()
Not that it matters much for me, but 30 would have been an understandable place to start because that is when you get job stone.
Like, seriously, all I would have done the first hour or so was work out bars and read tool tips, could have spent that time actually playing, instead of just reading the manual.
Just buy a potion I guess? :P
♥ Baby, tell me, what's your motive? ♥
Not only that, if people want to learn the class and prefer to do low level content, they have this option to do this. When I started tanking, I stayed a bit longer in the low level dungeons so I could learn and get used to the basics of tanking. If some players want to take the time to learn and prefer to spend time at level 30 zones, then they can do this, the rest of us will start from level 50. We have 20 levels to learn the class, this is enough.
Currently, level 50 is when most classes begin to actually open up and show their true colors. There's not much reason to start at 30 and handicap yourself.
So many people are really concerned about this. . .
Whether you start at 30, 50, or even level 1, don't be so concerned with others properly learning the job. Worry about making sure YOU learn it properly and making sure you can play it to the best of your ability. If everyone had that mindset - and yes I'm aware this is idealism at its core - we wouldn't have issues with players not knowing their jobs or underperforming them.
What? Well just because you find it boring, doesn't mean everyone does. They are already adding a potion for people that want to skip leveling... I don't see why they are forcing a higher level down peoples throats that actually want to level the jobs.
Me: "Aww man I'm clicking all the wrong buttons tonight!"
Friend: "You're i190, you can't click a wrong button unless it is no buttons"
Me: "lol"
If you really want to go through the "leveling process:"
Put only the skills on your hotbar up to level 15. Run Sastasha until you're used to those skills.
Add more skills to your hotbar, run the next dungeon up to their level. Run that dungeon until you're used to those skills.
Repeat until you reach the level 50 skills.
There, you've learned your job up to 50 without having to grind out the levels.

Because outside of the MSQ leveling is just irrelevant? You can still do leveling roulettes, FATEs, dungeons etc. every day if you find it fun, but some people may not. Spamming the same thing daily is not fun in everyone's eyes, plus the potions won't get you right up to lv70.
Ok whatever guys.
Lets just get rid of levels all together then, because "Hey whats the point!" =/
Just saying, there are those of us out there, that do enjoy leveling and growth, not just mimicking it by queuing for low level dungeons.
Has nothing to do with learning the skills.
I was being facetious.

"Let people learn!"
Bah, not me, I'm excited to get thrown into the fray!
As previously stated, people who learn slower have options open to them, it's only overwhelming if you let it be.
As someone who likes grind, I'm pretty happy with RDM starting at 50 (But I wouldn't care if they went down to 30).
