So this then discredits the idea of DRK knight being a two handed sword TANK right? I mean we do use magic in conjunction with our blade. As such a Samurai using a sword and purely physical skills as a TANK would be a first.

isn't what do the war already, pure physical 2 hand weapon tank? often people tend to forget this point, that fact that the war is already a 2 hand weapon pure physical tank. exept the weapon and maybe a gimmick in the way to attack it will fit the say role. it's often said and everytime it's ignored.

Same is true for Dps. No new Classes ever right?

I'd really like not all Tanks and Healers to get bored with the game and quit because hey "only dps players get new toys why shouldn't I just go dps"

the point to add a new jobs it's to offer a new way to play, here the samurai will barely be different than the war....

i will be ok with an evasion tank or a pure magical tank, but there the samurai bring nothing news, worst it the same in a way than with the war.

bring a new tank simply for add a difference in animation and weapon is a bad way, and anyway, yoshida have said it itself, they will bring jobs that will add new thing to the group, the samurai is way too similar as the warrior.

what he can bring to the dps? slow burst dps, job that will strike hard and not really fast, not forced to be based on positional and more based on the of the skill. because soo far i feel the positional recquirement have become a shackle that limite what they can add to as jobs.

Initially I was skeptic about the Spider-man = Samurai theory. It seemed like the kind of thing that could have just been an interesting coincidence. However, if it true that Yoshida specifically mentioned that he liked the first three movies, all of which directed by Sam Raimi, then I believe the theory isn't as far fetched as it may seem. It's very similar to how he mentioned liking the Chris Nolan Batman movies (aka The Dark Knight trilogy) as a tease towards the Dark Knight job while wearing a generic Batman shirt. We're directed towards those first three films specifically rather than what "Spider-man" means in a general sense. But once again, that is only the case if he actually did single out those three films. I would be interested in knowing for sure if he had made that statement.

The video I posted earlier of him in the Eorzean Alliance battle shows him both using Ifrit type abilities, and displays the name of his weapon which is very specifically a BLU weapon in XI.

The name of the weapon was already displayed back in 1.0

Weapons: Tizona─a cursed blade taken from the hands of a former rival after defeating him on the bloodsands.

Like you can see, Tizona is a trophy he won during a battle. That can mean that his opponent was a blue mage. That don't make himself a Blue Mage.

Once more your post does nothing to prove nor disprove him being a Blue Mage. His acquisition of the weapon is irrelevent, as it has nothing to do with how he obtained it and everything to so with what the meaning of the name implies. He could have pulled the sword out of a dodos ass, and it still could mean he is potentially a BLU simply because the blades name is Tizona and his name is Raubahn. No matter how you look at it, even if the person he took the weapon was was a BLU, it still doesn't mean he couldn't be one himself. Look at the abilities he uses in the Eorzean Alliance, because that more recent stuff is more accurate to go off of. He is literally using a move similar to Ifrit's nails that purposely showcases the name of the weapon. I find that hardly to be done without reason.

There is 0 hints about Samurai in the game. For NIN and AST they were hinted at(Thancred and the AST in the tower in Coerthas). RDM was hinted at thru Ilbred. DNC we have in Uldah already...and why would they show the girl in red dancing like that?

MCH had Merlwyb to hint at it and the guild in 1.x series. Can someone show me where Samurai was hinted at?

the "dancer" in stormblood trailer, isn't a dancer, she's a monk, just like derplander; she's not dancing, she's practicing martial art stances...like they do in every single asian martial arts movie, that's ever been made.
do they need to hint at jobs, in ARR, before they can release it in 5.0? do they need to patch in hints a year in advance?

Even better, it's like 9 am and I'm running on nothing but yeah this point as well. If it's a BLU only weapon he wouldn't be able to wield it unless he was one himself.
