As much as I would love to believe that this is a hint towards BLU, the shirt hints in the past have been way more on the nose. Batman "The Dark Knight" for Dark Knight. Scarlet (red) Witch (mage) for Red Mage. The fact that we're having to come up with major leaps of logic to say Spider-Man means BLU or SAM inclines me to believe that this is something totally different. Either a different classic FF job that none of us or thinking of, or a brand new job for FFXIV.

Dancer is so vague that it's something mentioned everywhere. There has been zero mention of Dancers as something more than just someone who dances. Red Mage has absolutely not been mentioned ANYWHERE, and the tidbit you are going to try and use for it from 3.4 has actually nothing at all to do with RDM.

Hmm...legendary swordmasters from Othard...some of whom were known for traveling to other places...hmmmm...HMMMM.

I do know he said he wants SAM in here...but I feel like I am just repeating myself endlessly...where is SAM mentioned in the lore? I am not asking how the other jobs are NOT Mentioned, I am asking where is samurai mentioned in the story and/or quests, etc?

Where was Sharlayan Astrologians mentioned in the lore? Cause Ishgardian ones have little to nothing to do with the AST we play as. How about machinists? When were machinists specifically mentioned by name? Or Dark Knights? Where was that in the lore before it was added?

I just don't understand how this shirt could be confusing? Like if did end up being BLU I can't imagine how ridiculous most of these people must look in regards to over analyzing to the devs lol. The shirt seems pretty clear to me "Spider-man was bit by a radioactive spider and can now use spider abilities." I just don't feel like they're going that out of their way to confuse people.

All I am saying is there is quite a bit to say that BLU could be a potential candidate, and I don't think Yoshi-P would show is Japanese audience a Spider-man shirt expecting them to assume it to be Samurai based of of something extremely discreet like a directors name. Most people in that audience will more than likely come to the conclusion of Blue Mage. Could be right? Or it could be them going to great lengths to confuse people. .

I absolutely think the spiderman shirt is hinting towards Blue Mage, but that's the only real hint we've gotten towards blue mage outside of the anniversary event mention. YOU are the one coming up with other weak reasons that have really nothing at all to do with Blue Mage, with the tremendous reaching with Raubhan.

Swordmasters...that could be any sword job though. It could be Samurai, it could be Red Mage...I see how you can relate it to Samurai though, sure. ^^

Since Yugiri plays a role in the msq by some early pics I would imagine that SAM could come from Doma similar to how nins came from there to help with the resistance. However that may prove that my greatest fear of SAM being a tank might become a reality. I doubt SE would purposely introduce 2 dps on xpac launch. Not without teasing a tank or dps role at least. Honestly, I really prefer the next tank to have some sort of blunt dmg so the synergy with monk is more coherent. Honestly idk why people keep wanting to make SAM a tank. In this game I feel like its better suited to a dps role.

Given his past t-shirts we are probably digging a little too much into this and just need to see what he wears next. For now I just think this further solidifies Dancer as a job since Spider-man tends to dance around his enemies while being agile and flexible.

yeah I agree. Why would they show her dancing so long in the trailer, use the same colors and outfit (her outfit looks like dancer from previous FF games) just to mess with us? That would be so trolly lol. Plus Spider-Man wears red but idk....

They're simply tidbits in the game I think could help support BLU in the expansion lol. Considering Raubahn is an Ala Mhigan, I am expecting to see him in the expansion, can't say for certain how big or small his role is, but if it does turn out that the second class is BLU that could mean that he really was one to begin with. Really it's the name of his weapon that gets me, that is a very specific choice to have used for him and it didn't just show up in his lore tidbit.
You can see the name of his weapon while he uses abilities very similar to Ifrits during the Eorzean Alliance, that's very recent (https://youtu.be/pM9jrqB2uf8?t=11m50s) . I don't know, to me? That can obviously be easily blown off by some, but I think all things considered it can have implications. Is it reaching? Sure, but it's not reaching as far as the name of a director from a Toby Maguire Spider-Man movie from 2002.

So just watched that, and I'm going to have the biggest laugh if we do get BLU, and instead of monsters it uses the powers of primals instead. As you mentioned those abilities were rather ifrit based, and if that happens we may as well delete SMN xD
