Could just be me, but this sounds a lot like...............PotD. Which is why I don't like leveling new classes/jobs in there.
And kill Square's PR? Sure.Come on~ Joo all knew this was bound to happen. SE's monthly paycheck via new subscribers > In depth, connected, continuational Stormblood storyline. Stop living in the past i say. The age of Chrono Trigger-worthy material of substance MUST give way to ease of casual newbie access.
...but GOD just once before I croak..I'd just like to hear Mr. Yoshi say :...we just wanna make more money is all."
Well apparently I'm a psychic so maybe I did... but even then, I think the issues are being overplayed a little regarding the whole bad players thing (which let's be fair, happens anyway, what's a jump potion gonna do to change that? Add more bad players? Maybe by a minute amount but most who would be horrific won't touch this game because by their own admission they wouldn't enjoy it). I have my own reservations regarding the jump potion mostly regards to story. Even if you don't like the story, you still gotta slog through a truck-tonne of it regardless of whether or not you use the jump potion.
White Mage ~ Scholar ~ PaladinBoi if you got kicked for the same thing in over 20 duties I strongly suggest you think hard on whatever the hell it is you're doing
As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.
Most people don't know and don't care about analytics, trends, etc. or how they work.
Your average Joe will turn a 3% into a 20% and a 20% into a 60% because 'they saw it with their own eyes'.
A coin flip is a 50/50 even if you get heads 10 times in a row. Whether you like it or not, that's a different story. It's a pain in the ass to explain to people that their perception doesn't always translate into reality.
I find Jump Potions to be a bit awkward as they are explained in Naoki Yoshida's post, but feel they are (going to be) necessary going forward.
Itll be even worse than PotD. PotD still adds them one at a time, but they come at a far quicker rate. This will literally dump you into SB with a full hotbar of skills that you have no idea what to do with.
Thanks for the laugh, but foresight =/= clairvoyance. It's not difficult to look at what has already been delivered, the function of a jump potion, and other factors in order to paint a picture of what it will do. Future proofing is a real thing, and you don't need to be clairvoyant to do it, you just need to ask yourself how this decision will affect the things 5-10 years in the future by looking at the facts.

I do honestly expect the first dungeon in SB to be a very bad experience just because of this reason. Will probably cloud people's view of it aswell.
