Why not DoL/H jump potions?
If the jump potion is all about bring people into new content. There should be a Jump of DoL/H, There isn't because people that do DoL/H have spare time.
In turn jump potions isn't about getting new people to new content. It's about shorting the time to takes to do the content people mostly want to do. In turn increased EXP across the board would seem to be a better option.

Commendations.
If I play dps I only give it out to other dps.
If I play tank I only give it out to healers.
If I play healer I only give it out to tank.
Only if they should be getting a commendation.
There are always exceptions to the rules!
Meaning you're ok with the concept, you just don't want them to make money on their game?
Im shocked this thread is still getitn updated every few mins and the reason being is , this whole concept is about money its simple , they want to compete they want to use to potion to bring more players to the game so they can make more money. And hopefully use this money to make more content and of course to keep some. Why not DoL/H jump potions?

You mean the sub fee they charge? The inventory they have refused to fix for over TWO PLUS years instead charge for extra inventory? The extra they charge for accounts that want to have alts? The extra they charge when they sell stuff on the cash shop that isn't even account wide? The extra they charge allowing people onto over full servers? The extra they charge if people from said servers want to leave for a chance to participate in certain game content (ie housing)? How about the lack of veteran rewards after cash shop was added? How about seasonal items that were a few gil or time if you missed now are charge? I can defend go along with some of the pro jump stuff. Not the idea they have decided to gouge the player base and are trying to find the ceiling for what they can earn.
While the system and how it works was described. Everyone is glossing over the fact poor game design means that the more acceptable solutions (for some) of adjusting quests, how they are flagged and xp is not possible. The simple thing for them to have come out and said is we are only doing the MSQ because we don't have the skill and time to adjust it. Most angry posts seem to be about the level one.

I personally don't like it for the sake of FFXIV, mainly because FFXIV is very different when it comes to how one approaches content. While I can see the potion skips working in other MMOs like WoW whose primary focus is endgame and the 1-cap content is fairly lackluster and meaningless, FFXIV stands on a much different platform. There is no need for Alts, you don't have to go through the story another 1, 2, 3, 4, 100 times just to get another class up, and most importantly the journey to cap (story, narrative, lore etc) is actually one of the best on the MMO market. I'd even go so far as saying its one of the best FF title stories we have seen in years. FFXIV has fantastic content from 1-60, some of the best, and certainly better than the endgame content. Ontop of that you have great alternatives for leveling other jobs: Deep Dungeon, Leves, Fates etc etc. Don't smother that, hold it up, strengthen it. Personal note: Buying progression is just cheating imo.
But why not this is a business first , and other mmos make more money than this game this is just a competitive move. The game isnt new player friendly unless you call unsnycing everything friendly hw will be dead just like arr content is. Its soon yes people could easily do hw and arr in a months time. But at the same time dont base the game for wanting to be competitive in a dying market.
