I do not recall said Quest. I purchased replicas from his assistant yesterday
wth, so now my Zeta is gone or what T_T
Wouldn't it be hard so to tell us how we can purchase a replica (and that we need the original with us) in the same window when they asked us if we REALLY want to trade the Zeta?? *whine*
Honestly the Title should be enough - I can imagine a LOT of ppl traded theirs in thinking they could get the replica without it
EDIT: I googled a bit and found this screenshot
https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme...ng_dirt_cheap/
went to Drake and yay all relic stages are there, just got my Zeta for 90 Gil lol

You got one yesterday.Frankly they either needed to:
1) Put that this quest was a requirement to purchasing replicas, both in the patch notes and in game
or
2) ALSO accept the item achievement for obtaining a Zeta (which gives you the "Z" title) - this seems more sensible, I mean you can't get this achievement without a Zeta!! I hope it was just overlooked.
Because doing the Vital Title quest was NOT REQUIRED for obtaining your Zeta.
I really hope we can get an official response.

I have a question, so if I finish my BLM Lilith Rod Zeta, can I buy the replicas of ONLY the stardust rods (and all stages towards Lilith Zeta) and NOT any other relic weapons from other classes?
If so, this really suck because no one is going to spend an entire week to do the whole thing again (Thats how long I spent)and waste another 1 mil+ gil, 80k or so GC seals and not to mention 3750 Allied seals for the Alexandrites.
This is BS beyond BS. I think you should be able to buy the replicas for ALL classes once you get your first Zeta because they are only good for glamour anyway.
If SE thinks that people should do the relic quests for all classes to get their Zeta replicas, then how letting the developers do what they expect people to do, starting from 0 gil, GC seals and Allied seals?

That's correct, you have to do the whole quest line again, if you are planning weapons for other jobs. Zeta's can be turned in for the first step of the new lvl 60 relics and therefore it makes sense to keep them locked to specific jobs and not unlock them all at once after finishing one. Old ARR relics have been nerfed to the ground, it took us over 8+ months (36mil of gil, thousands of tomes & weekly missions) to get an zeta as it was new, and even than we needed to do it for every single job if we wanted the relic. There's no problem at all with that, you can nowadays finish an old relic within a couple of days and no effort.I have a question, so if I finish my BLM Lilith Rod Zeta, can I buy the replicas of ONLY the stardust rods (and all stages towards Lilith Zeta) and NOT any other relic weapons from other classes?

So why didn't they make it that zeta replicas COULDN'T be turned in for the new relics? And allow you to unlock all zeta replicas that way.
Oh and if you want the sense of work to remain, make every relic require 100'000'000x the amount of resources required currently, as well as a 500 billion gil downpayment made to Gerolt per Zeta. Also, anyone who currently has a relic that ISN'T a Zeta or i80, it automatically destroys it and makes them start all over again. So then you'd need to start with 300m thav mists for the Zenith phase of your frist relic.
White Mage ~ Scholar ~ PaladinBoi if you got kicked for the same thing in over 20 duties I strongly suggest you think hard on whatever the hell it is you're doing
As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.

I disagree with you on the point that it takes a couple of days to finish an old relic ( I am assuming zenith to zeta). It DOES NOT takes a couple of days. It needs 1 mil+ gil (Which if u are wealthy, it shouldn't be a problem, but if not, well, good luck getting the gil you need), 80k+ GCseals for the Bombard Cores (this means several weeks of expert deliveries, grinding fates, and leves), 2000-3000 poetic tomestones (which you will get from dungeon grind anyway, so not a big deal), 100+ dungeons grinds including those you cannot solo(so if you are dps, good luck waiting for the 20-30 mins queue to do one of the required dungeon and guess what, there are about 25-30 dungeons you cannot solo because the adds and boss are too strong and your fc mates are too selfish to help you with any of them anyway) and last but not least, 3750 Allied seals ( in the other words, hunt until your eyes bleed). Oh did I mention you need at least 3 x 9 leves allowance just for Atma to Animus too?
I understand how it has been nerf down and all but if anything, these weapons are only good for glamour and nothing more nowadays. You got to Zeta, experienced the content and do what needs to be done. So what is the point of having people grinding the same thing over and over and over again anyway?
There is hard and there is ridiculous. This... is simply ridiculous and BS.

Player

/shrug Longevity of the game when it was relevant ?
I don't agree that you should get all the replicas after you complete 1 relic though.
But anyway, you can use edit to bypass the text limit in the post.

No you can't unless your required job is 60 to do the dungeon content unsynced. Even then, it is still a grind and I'm guessing that running the 50 dungeons unsynced will actually still be slower for a solo Lv 60 rather than running it synced @50 with others who will get you in and out of those dungeons in 15 minutes or less. If you're DPS, you might be better of running it unsynced due to queue times.
Those damn books too:
90 enemies
27 dungeons
27 FATEs (Many of which are on a 1 hour respawn time, and also NPC initiated which can be longer)
27 Leves (assuming you don't have to do additional to get the one you need to pop)
Even this alone in two days is serious time put in, and wouldn't plan for much outside FFXIV.
I am smack dab in the middle of getting my first Zeta. I know it isn't anything like it used to be before 3.0, but you still need a crap load of gil, GC seals, and well more than the 2000 capped poetics to get this thing done. You still have to gather light, which is not a fast process unless you love raids and EX primals, and you're going to be running more dungeons for a chance at the items needed for the Zodiac Braves step in the upgrade. Unless this drop rate has been increased to 100%?
If you can get it done in two days and retain your patience, I will gracefully bow and call you M'lord.

Jup, it has been - doesnt help the fact that its still a huge grind, but at least you dont have to run AV 40+ times anymore... and yes, I've met a poor soul like that
