HOW TO GET YOUR REPLICA ZETA

Seeing a lot of posts about Drake not having options to buy a zeta replica.

There is a quest you must accept from Jhalzan after obtaining your relic which requires you to talk to Gerolt.

This is "The vital title" and allows you to purchase Replicas for all stages of your relic weapon.

Your relic must be equipped to receive the quest, unlike previous others. Since the weapon is mostly useless for most of us as well, you may overlook the quest as I did.

OH MY GOD, I'm so glad i didn't rush to do the new relic and made sure to look around first. I can't imagine how many people are going to not do this first before trading their relic. SE is gonna have alot of angry relic holders cause of this.

Edit: Funny thing is I sat there for 10 minutes trying to figure out why I couldn't complete the quest only to remember my zeta was glamored and not equiped.

You could get a replica zodiac before so I was looking into it before the patch to see if there was a zeta and it took me literally an hour to find the information hidden in the recesses of reddit.

Frankly they either needed to:

1) Put that this quest was a requirement to purchasing replicas, both in the patch notes and in game

or

2) ALSO accept the item achievement for obtaining a Zeta (which gives you the "Z" title) - this seems more sensible, I mean you can't get this achievement without a Zeta!! I hope it was just overlooked.

Because doing the Vital Title quest was NOT REQUIRED for obtaining your Zeta.

I really hope we can get an official response.

Nope! You get the "Z" title when you get your Zeta (the quest before "The Vital Title")

The quest required for buying the replica was an extra, unnecessary quest that appeared AFTER you obtained your zeta. I know in my case, and many others', if you had more than one job to 50 he always had a red quest marker, so I didn't notice he had a new quest related to the Zeta. It didn't do anything except unlock an extra achievement, as far as I can tell.

I have a question, so if I finish my BLM Lilith Rod Zeta, can I buy the replicas of ONLY the stardust rods (and all stages towards Lilith Zeta) and NOT any other relic weapons from other classes?

If so, this really suck because no one is going to spend an entire week to do the whole thing again (Thats how long I spent)and waste another 1 mil+ gil, 80k or so GC seals and not to mention 3750 Allied seals for the Alexandrites.

This is BS beyond BS. I think you should be able to buy the replicas for ALL classes once you get your first Zeta because they are only good for glamour anyway.

If SE thinks that people should do the relic quests for all classes to get their Zeta replicas, then how letting the developers do what they expect people to do, starting from 0 gil, GC seals and Allied seals?

That's correct, you have to do the whole quest line again, if you are planning weapons for other jobs. Zeta's can be turned in for the first step of the new lvl 60 relics and therefore it makes sense to keep them locked to specific jobs and not unlock them all at once after finishing one. Old ARR relics have been nerfed to the ground, it took us over 8+ months (36mil of gil, thousands of tomes & weekly missions) to get an zeta as it was new, and even than we needed to do it for every single job if we wanted the relic. There's no problem at all with that, you can nowadays finish an old relic within a couple of days and no effort.
