I can somewhat appreciate wanting to be surprised by the game mechanics themselves in lieu of having everything spelled out. I, personally, get peeved when people continue to make mistakes after I've explained them or they make extremely basic ones in an EX fight. The one exception, I feel, is Savage. Unless your guide aims to go in blind, you should research those fights due to their challenge. As most people use food and/or pots, it sucks to have it all go to waste.
Sure, and I don't mind giving people the salient points of a fight if they ask for it.

I just don't like the attitude of 'I can't be bothered to do any research beforehand, I expect you to tell me instead. Don't criticise me, it's my preferred playstyle' as expressed by Ramath.

Unless you're in Alexander or Coil, most tights can be summed up in a few words.
"Dodge x, move for y". More detail just wastes time.

These mechanics are present in every single fight in this game. When a player asks if there is anything they need to know, this is usually not what they are asking for. What they are asking for is if this particular boss has something different from that they need to be aware of. They are doing the group a service by asking, and so is the person who takes the time to respond to it.

Having watched an s-ton of guides myself, most come out close to the time the content is released making 90% of the older guides outdated. Some of these fights are now roflstomps, others still have mechanics that can't be ignored. How can you tell if you're new to the fight and you don't ask?

It literally takes 1-2 minutes of your precious time, and helps reduce the probability of wipes.

Oh, no. That I agree with. If I have to give someone an entire outline of the fight, I'll get annoyed since they may as well just have watched a video instead of wasting everyone's time.

And I want to slap people who cry "it's my preferred playstyle!" Well, my preferred method is not carrying you. So... I'll be that much more likely to vote kick.

Last but not least the moment looking up strategies on regular fights becomes a necesity i'd rather quit then continue playing. Waaaaay to hardcore.
MrHappy generally has his guides up within the first week of release and Mizzteq isn't far behind. If you type any fight into Youtube, you'll get them both top of the list. They aren't always perfect, but it's something to go off of.
