Having a video game ruined isn't a traumatizing event. If it is then you need to sort your life. This is not something that should be a violation of ToS. BL the person if they are saying something you don't like whether it is related to games, religion, politics, or just a bad attitude. If it is something that's actually bad behavior which violates ToS or simply basic decency then report them if you feel it necessary.

Someone spoiling some other video game is not a reason for them to be banned (temp or perm) from this game. Get over yourselves.

I disagree with your last sentence. It's people being purposefully a jerk to the community. That needs to be policed. I wouldn't say a perm ban, but if it's found that the offender was doing so just to upset others, a temp ban should be necessary. If it was an accident and they exclaimed something without thinking, due to their excitement or what-have-you, then no they shouldn't.

Nothing in the game should be a 'traumatizing event', and if a ban requires that, then bans shouldn't exist in the game. Luckily for us, requirements for bans don't include induced trauma.

I would counter with the fact that you feel the opposite is true is sad. It's a video game. Again, get over it. Nothing serious going on here. It's a video game. If you're so invested in a video game that it wrecks your life to have it spoiled you need a serious perspective adjustment.

PS. Again, I encourage you to BL anyone that is saying things you don't like. But a game spoiler is not and should not be a bannable offense.

Just as saying that you don't like licorice and saying/ranting about it in /sh isn't and shouldn't be a bannable offense. They are of equal impact.
