was doing A9 while back and quite a few people were low on TP. so I, the AST, decided to try and see how an aoe spire would do.......it's literally the worst thing i have ever done with a spire. Well i know now i guess, although enhanced ewer/spire is amazing!

As a scholar I just never ever use a healing spell, letting Eos do the job while I dps and it work perfectly fine....except when I forget I decided to play WHM on the run ^^"

Got a tank with an ilvl 90 weapon in Sohm Ahl. They could have had an ilvl 125 weapon off the MB. Or hell, even a 115 would have been preferable. When I called them out for this after having to heal the DPS more than them, the party called me a dick.

So I took off all my gear except my weapon. Needless to say everyone died, party complained, I told them not to whine about my poor gear.

Needless to say I got kicked, but I was laughing until the next queue.

Maybe I am misunderstanding since I don't play a healer, but as the risk of suggesting something you've encountered a lot, why don't you just contribute to the DPS if you find yourself doing nothing? I imagine you might feel it's not what you planned on doing when taking on a healer role, but it sounded like you are suggesting you just stand around a lot waiting for any excuse to heal unnecessarily. Just the other day I was helping a friend's alt through Steel Vigil where both I(as a Tank) and the Healer were end-game and you can't really help but do single, 3-enemy pulls for the most part in there. Even in Sword Oath, they were tickling me to the point that the Healer would just keep topping me up to 100% with a single spell every ten seconds or so while standing around doing absolutely nothing otherwise. In those situations, I just can't help but wonder why they wouldn't help. It's fine if it's not what you're interested in but surely if you're bored then at least that way you'll help get the run over with sooner and be done with it?

My confession of the day is that it kind of enrages me when I play DPS for a change and witness the healer allowing party members to die in completely normal and manageable situations.

Sometimes the healer acknowledges that they made a mistake and are learning the role, and I'm immediately empathetic. However, sometimes they are just plain bad with no obvious reason, and I bite my proverbial tongue so as not to prolong the pain longer than necessary with an argument about their badness.

I run into this a lot in PoD where even players who obviously play lvl 60 healers outside of PoD seem to have no clue how to function. They either tunnel vision DPS or overheal like crazy, not having gotten the memo that it is entirely possible to walk and chew gum simultaneously.

I think you mean you need those stacks to use aetherflow on, cause y'know if you use aetherflow with 3 stacks on already you get 6 stacks! right? right..?

My confession is that I now main DPS because I feel strange filling every materia slot with Accuracy as a healer >_<.

I wish accuracy wasn't such an issue for healers in raids.

I saw someone using {Swiftcast} + {Aero} and I liked it, I told myself I will be doing that if I ever going to get the swiftcast action, witnessing such event brings lots of bad karma, now I must attone for my sin.

I was doing Garuda Ex in Duty Finder, and the other whm was new, kept dying and causing problems with medica 2 agro. I let him stay dead for the remainder of the fight until we won and just told him I never learned swiftcast. lol

PoD , tank over pulls, ignore mechanics and while everyone aoes I know its suicide, mobs not 1% and all dead but me. I raise them they pull same stunt I let them die again. I asked why help when we know it's suicidal. Tank does it again no one attacks we let him die and vote him off. Me 99/99 tank 30/31 no witching, no rage, no nothing.... floor 60-70
