you are aware the season lasts over 2 months right?Even if you win 60%+ of your matches, as of today you need at minimum 60 matches to have enough points, and people usually have 80-100 matches. You like have to play 20 matches a day, which is like 2-3h of pure PvP NOT including the queues, which doubles the time (I'm getting 12m queues, 6-8m matches). And that's just in Solo, if you want to do the Party one too you'd first have to find a team that is willing to wait the queue times, which sacrifices time you have for Solo.
You can't fight for this one. It's not like "Win 2000 matches" which is crazy but still possible.

That is actually so false. People have actually complained that too many people STOP playing when they get into the top 100 because it's safe to do so.
Don't comment on what you obviously don't know, especially since you probably have never tried.
I would really recommend you not to watch any PvP streams right now, lol.
I tried halfway through last season and got to the top 100. What irks me is 90% of the people here who said "do the content" have never even stepped in PvP and would probably have a 40% win rate.
I hope they add an i290 weapon for the top 10 triple triad players this month, and a super lewd outfit for the world 1st team for the next raid, and a cool mini brute justice mount with custom emotes for the world 1st PotD clear. If were going to start with real rewards, I want it to go all the way.
And I think SE should change my Darnus Earrings so they are BiS.

The tiniest lala.
Sorry, but you're not likely to get me to agree with the idea that PvP is by and large toxic, not when I regularly speak to several other PvPers on a friendly basis, even after a losing match, or when I myself actively make strides to be a positive example. I did say before that there are bad apples, and that those bad apples aren't exclusive to PvP. I also said passions tend to run high in competition (and that's just me repeating Yoshi P himself); that's no justification for bad behavior or someone's nasty attitude, but I am remaining firm in stating that PvP and the people who enjoy it are, by a majority, not toxic. I'm refuting the still-as-of-yet unsupported blanket statement, especially because it does not apply to me and many others I enjoy playing with/against.

Aether in Feast can be pure hell. Generally in frontlines people know who the competitive (lol toxic) players are. There are pages upon pages of hate for other players and how they are matched with gods and they should stop queing or SE should remove them from the sacred que of others. Also someone who pvps is more accepting or maybe thicker skinned towards what is acceptable behavior. A pretty big name got banned in season 1 and in a few pvp linkshells were like that was ok attitude to have. I wouldn't want someone treating someone i cared about in the way they were treating others.
Now people in this thread want to add casual players and more elite prizes. How do you see that turning out?
On the actual prize. The way gear is modeled it seems to hard to make sets stand out the way they do in other games. This leaves the beast type of ego rewards as mounts or minions. They can almost be anything and are visible. Get asked all the time about cheerleader. If they wanted this for more people to actually participate it would be some obscene amount of matches per season.

The pvp is not more toxic than pve, if you get in pug groups for anything if it don't go well, some guys is toxic too bo matter if it's faceroll or hard content
It happen when people is raging about loose, not get reward.
Then some players is pro at blaming others for bad or good reasons everywhere.
Also care about too much and give credits to the toxic players is against the competitive spirit you have to get in pvp, if you get insulted because you mess, only care about your mess, if you get insulted for nothing by even bad player than you, you don't even have to care. Your only concern is to win and progress and learn from the loose.
The Pve is the same, if you are doing savage with pugs and get insulted, and you decide to stay away because players is toxic, they win you loose...
Also in competitive game there is always guys playing well or eventualy pretty strong take the Big head, it's as simple to understand and i don't care, it would be a waste of time to care about this.
