The more they can stray away from these circular arena fights, the better. Don't even need to jump straight to Savage fights with these. Test the waters out in dungeons or other easier content and if it gets good feedback, try to apply it into the raiding scene.

They have "tested the waters in dungeons and other easy content." Many of our old dungeons (especially those from 1.0) didn't have circular arenas. For whatever reason, they decided to stop doing that - but there presumably was a reason.
To be fair, you included this feature as something that would be 'super beneficial', it's clearly not, and is more about convenience than anything else. The potential for abuse in terms of harassment and/or RMT abuse are both great reasons to disallow Tells in dungeons.
FC and LS mates can hit you on the FC or LS channels, /tell is not needed for that.As for the diff server thing, well that's just strange. I feel like it's important an FC mate or someone should be able to convey a message to you regardless if it falls under harassment or not hence the blacklist. Also the extra 30 seconds, I find people still find a reason to nag if you take too long to reach the end, perhaps instead of a mount.. make the short cut actually take you to the point you need to be?
You mentioned seeing the company profile (of others?) in dungeon and claimed it would be helpful for many reasons. The only one I can think of is cross server friends, and even then I am not sure that it would be any more helpful than remembering a player's name and looking them up since you can't send them a moogle mail, tell or anything else in-game anyway. Of course you could take 20 seconds and look the player and their FC up on the lodestone. Not sure what that would gain you either as the player still needs a character on your server to interact in any meaningful manner.
By that logic, it would be better to disable FC and LS chat as well once you are in a dungeon, since you are *in* a dungeon. Kind of like driving in a tunnel, or heading out into the mountains or a cave system, you have no link pearl...er...I mean cell phone, access anyway. So why do those work in dungeons? I say, disable them both.

I feel like SE had much more grand designs for the Lodestone in mind than what we actually use it for. Like I said, I think it was supposed to be a sort of self-contained social media site where people make friends, follow others, post blogs about their FFXIV experiences, and so forth. A neat idea, but something I think is plainly not a service most players would utilize.

Agreed. If the Lodestone was accessible in-game, and if their mobile app every takes flight properly, the Lodestone could be what you're suggesting, and if it went in that direction, it would be hugely beneficial to players. IMHO it would be several orders of magnitude more beneficial than the suggestions made by the OP. Making the Lodestone accessible in-game would give FCs and individuals so many more communication options, the benefits are very high, and it only requires a in-game micro-browser specific to the Lodestone to accomplish.I feel like SE had much more grand designs for the Lodestone in mind than what we actually use it for. Not to mention that the Lodestone is entirely global, so it's cross world across all data centers.
If there is something that the players should be asking for, the above ideas are exactly the things we should be targeting.

In an all or nothing approach, I prefer the all, but it's others' prerogative to prefer the nothing. That's at least a better argument than leaning on "you have FC/LS, you don't need tells" or various other excuses to not have them.By that logic, it would be better to disable FC and LS chat as well once you are in a dungeon, since you are *in* a dungeon. I'll lean on wanting the Lodestone in-game, and keeping dungeon interiors off-the-grid.

Mount as some mechanic in the dungeon is fine I guess, like Praetorium?. I guess it add some extra funsies to the dungeon.
Yoshi plz.
Add laughter to the sounds you hear as you run back in shame after a wipe. Place hidden bear traps in the path. Increase the volume and number of laughing voices heard every time a trap is sprung.
Alternatively,
Have Y'shtola (*sigh*) pick the player up in a golfcart at the entrance to the instance. Perhaps make a minigame for the cart race back.
