    Up until patch 3.4 finally eliminated RMT tell spam (yay), I would have argued against the request for /tell because of that. But now, sure, it could be good to have.

    (Don't really care one way or the other about mounts in dungeons. I don't really see a need for it, but fine if others do.)

    I think that any of this has any real purpose. Why would you like to communicate with people outside of a dungeon? That would only lead to more delay in duties. You need to focus on what you are doing inside the dungeon. The chocobo is complete unnecessary, there is no dungeon map big enough or run to shortcut far enough to make a difference.
    In essence you are asking 2 complete opposite things, 1.- Communication with outsiders which lead to delays and distraction and then chocobos inside to save 1 or 2 seconds.

    No need for mounts in dungeons. Until someone can guarantee that the moratorium on RMT spam is permanent I do not want Instanced run disturbed by their /tells.

    One common reason would be when you're down a member and want to ask a friend to queue in as the needed role and help you finish. People already do that a lot with FCs and linkshells, but some people have friends outside of their FC or LSs and access to being able to ask them as well could be helpful. That certainly wouldn't be delaying the duty.

    On this note I wish we could go a step further and actively invite people from our friend list in from outside (or even pull people in via PF). My buddy was in a 'challenging' party once and the original healer left in despair so I offered to join in to help them finish. I don't like rerunning dungeons often so I wouldn't really have wanted to run the entire instance with a bunch of strangers if it hadn't worked out. I felt anxious selecting the dungeon and the option to join in progress in case I ended up stuck with a completely different party :/

    They couldn't have dropped out to pick me up since the other two members were from different servers, and they'd already invested some time in the dungeon.

    I understand that it could be abused by edge cases like people using one job to clear up to a final boss then dropping out and switching characters, but does anyone really care about that for easy content in DF? It would make pulling friends in so much easier.

    The short cuts are fine. Adding mounts would save maybe 1-2 minutes in an average dungeon. If you're really deadset on this change to save 1 or 2 minutes then you need to find something better to do with your time.

    Yes the no tells/ls is annoying AF and should be changed. It's moronic design from the start and there is no reasonable justification for it outside of "we design game mechanics/features poorly in general" which is standard for SE and online games.

    An even better idea would be to utilize flying mounts in a boss fight. WoW has done some fights where you fight a boss with a mixture of traversing to spots on the arena or activate a mechanic with a flying mount and then deal with other boss mechanics on foot.

    Yeah. They dared to try something new with Alexander 11. And while it was just a QTE, I liked it. It was something new, something exciting. More of that would be grand.
